After turning the oven off, it automatically comes back on later ~ WHY?

Several times I turn off the oven, leave, come back later and find it back on at high heat. Very dangerous as the oven will be very hot and even the wall around it. What am I NOT doing correctly that allows this to happen or is it a faulty product.

I had a similar problem with my electric Frigidaire oven. F1 is a bad oven control. (clock). It must be replaced.Unplug the range. Remove the screws from the rear panel. Remove the wires from the clock or electronic oven control. Replace the EOC (clock) with a new control.
Hope it works for you as it did for me.

SOURCE: Gas oven won't maintain temp. It turns off after reaching temperature set.

Hi ya mate sorry to hear your having problems with you oven,

The problem wiht your oven seems to ba a faliure of the fsd/ffd, it seems to me that this device is not completey gone but is faulty.

This device is used as a safety feature on gas ovens and is there to turn the gas off to the oven when the flame has failed.

The way it works is that the intial small flame heats up the the phile at the end of the cappliary tube which is connected to a valave which realses the gas to the oven..

what you need is to have it change

hope this helps

cheers

SOURCE: Faulty electric oven (Ignis AKL828/AV)

I think you will find that it is the oven element that has shorted, causing the trip to go. The fan will still work, but with no heat.
Remove inner rear panel of oven, there you will see the element.
Remove and replace.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Fan not working in my flavorwave oven turbo platinum

you need to narrow it down What oven model is this the same oven that is used in dunkin donuts or subway. Are you getting any error codes. it is most likely a fan issue because if the mags were bad it woud not heat or cook at all. Also check the fuses and if there is a reset switch by the power cord try and reset that.

SOURCE: my 30" wall oven oven won't heat up. the clock

There is a safety thermostat (thermal fuse) on the back wall of the oven that interrupts power from L1 to the Bake and Broil elements. This fails open on an over-temperature or over-current condition. The oven needs to come out of the wall to replace it - best left to a tech unless you are experienced in such things.

My thermador oven tells me error code 14

Sometimes you can unplug the unit for at least 30 minutes and reset the unit and it wont do it again.Try that first. An error code on a thermador of 14 means latch switch problems.

F0 error code on GE Profile PT956 double electric oven

you can also put a piece of paper between the ribbon cable where it joins up before the connector. It has been reported that the cable will short in this area. Try that before spending more money since most of the F-codes appear to be cable related.

GE JKP45 double wall oven shuts off

This sounds like a loose connection (solder joint) on the main control board. I had one that had a similar problem. checked the price of a control board $350. I took the control panel off, took the board apart and found a loose connection on one of the relays. resoldered the bad connection. oven works fine now.

I need to disable my ovens auto shut off

The control is automatically set to turn off the oven after 12 hours baking or 3 hours broiling should you forget and leave the oven on. If you want to remvoe this feature do the following steps: 1. Press and hold, at the same time, the BAKE and BROIL buttons for 3 seconds, until the display shows "SF". 2. Press the DELAY START TIME button. The display shows "12Shdn" for 12 hour shut off. Press the DELAY START TIME button again. The display will show "no Shdn" for no shut off. 3. Press the START button.

Door locked and screen is dead after Auto Clean

Gracias, sounds like your thermal cut out opened in the back. Part number 4451442. It's a small thermal fuse that can open during cleaning killing power to the oven. It's located in the back of the oven. Two wires going to it, orange and red according to the diagram. Cost is around 39.00. You can ohm it out, should show continuity. You can do the job yourself. Look the part up on the net so you know what you are going after. Or just let the repair service you think you know what is wrong and have them give you an estimate..Catriver..post back.
