LG1480 when switch it on it tries to fill with water and the pressure switch clicks 3 or 4 times before it actually fills up, no error code appears then on the second fill it does the same, it does fill with water and wash OK is the clicking normal at the beginning of each programme?
Re: LG1480 when switch it on it tries to fill with water...
Usely a switch is on or off so I:d say no its not normal. But sounds like you know what to replace when the switch does go out, Ir its easy & very easy to replace if it anoise you

You didn't specify model of your washing machine.
For Electrolux that usually means water leaks (Maximum overall water fill time exceeded (sum of all water fills between one drain phase and the next to avoid exceeding the maximum volume).
Could be:
Drain tube improperly positioned; Water pressure too low;
Water fill solenoid valve faulty; Water circuit on pressure switch is
leaking/clogged; Pressure switch faulty.
The F20 error deals with the water coming into the tub. The F20 code indicates the control didn't see any water enter the tub. You say water comes in and fills up to the bottom of the door before the error appears. There is a flow meter that tells the control water is coming into the washer. If the flow meter is faulty the error usually happens quickly. There is a pressure switch and the clear plastic hose may be kinked or even have a small hole in it. One thing to try is to remove the top of the washer and then pull the hose off the pressure switch and blow through it towards the tub to check for obstructions in the air dome. The drain hose should not be stuck down the standpipe to far. If the drain hose is stuck down the standpipe a siphon action ca occur. This means the water would fill and drain at the same time which might lead to the F20 error. Check the drain line first and then remove the top of the washer to access the pressure switch and pressure hose. With the washer empty remove the hose from the pressure switch located on the right side of the washer and blow through it to clear any debris blocking the pressure hose or air trap. Post the results along with your complete model number.
Most likely switching valve on integral softener. Occasionally it has been the fill solenoid letting by. F04-3 refers in the manual to the wash tank pressure switch, but its actually a fault with water direction. You'll find the switching valve is directing water into the wrong tank, and thisnwillmgive the fault code. Replace softener.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_a87KTHws2M First try turning off the machine for 30 minutes. Re-plug. If nothing happens. Disconnect from mains. Then check your inlet valve. Shut off valve, switch off machine & see if the water comes full flow. Check the fine filters on the machine inlet entry, they could be blocked, clean out. The FH indicates a fill failure and this is usually caused by a bad water valve, flow meter or pressure switch. One key to determining the cause of the FH error is how fast the error comes up in a cycle. If the error appears within 1 or 2 minutes then the most likely cause will be the water valve or flow meter. If the error doesn't appear for several minutes then the pressure switch can be the source of the problem. There is a slim tube going up from the filter area to a switch near your control board or panel; it leads to the pressure switch - it should not be blocked or leaky - ie.with holes. Both water valves must be turned on and working. Even if a cold wash is selected at some point during the fill the hot water valve will be energized and if there is no water then the FH error will show up. Sometimes a consumer will turn the hot water valve off to save energy but you can't turn one valve off on some washers. Inlet valves can be purchased thru searching this site and fitted by you easily. Just noted that your machine is a top load; anyways, click if helped.
Check for stuck socks or something just under the door seal at the bottom of the drum. Check filter for blockage and all outlet pipes. Check the pressure switch hose for any holes as it may have rubbed on the drum and created a small hole in it. Make sure flow meter is level and not at any angle.
Your fill time, water fill time, is too long. Have a professional complete the following: . Is the incoming water flow normal? Yes, go to step (4). No, go to step (2). 2. Are the incoming water faucets turned on? No, turn water faucets on. Yes, go to step (3). 3. Is the incoming water pressure above (30) psi? No, have customer correct pressure problem. Yes, check for kinked or blocked incoming water hoses, clean incoming water screens. If problem still remains, replace the water inlet valve assembly. 4. Does the fill water continue to enter the washer? Yes, go to step (5) no, go to step (6). 5. Remove power from washer. Did the water fill stop? Yes, go to step (6). No, replace the inlet valve assembly. 6. For Better models, check the electronic pressure sensor. For Good models, check the pressure switch. Pressure sensor checks good. Go to step (7). Pressure sensor checks incorrect. Replace pressure sensor. 7. Replace the Main Control Board
try to blow through the pressure switch hose back into the tub and if you have a piece of same size hose when you disconnect the tube to blow through it use you spare hose connect to the pressure switch and blow lightly do you here a light clicking when you blow into it if not pressure switch is more than likely failed when you done tested air restrictions ........RECONNECT THE TUBE TO THE PRESSURE SWITCH.....
E10 is a timeout code. I found the answer on google by refining my search criteria. The tap was not turned on enough for the washer to fill up in time before the timeout was reached. After restarting the washer and turning the tap on further, the washer cycle completed without error.
