Paperjam...dejammed I had a paperjam and even after clearing the jam, it's still telling me that i need to clear it. I know there is nothing in there and have tried everything i know to do to clear out this message. Does anyone know anything to do to reset this message, outside of throwing it thru the window??

I think I have the Dell version of this dumb printer. There is a plastic spring loaded lever that tells the printer when paper is passing through and has left the feed rollers. You will have to remove some screws and deal with clever plastic tension grips and a few harnesses but once you break it down you will see the spring hanging there and the plastic lever blocking an infra sensor. Just look at it and you will figure out how it goes back into place. Move it a few times before putting it all back together. Here's a pic of mine.

Every page i try to print is says i have a paperjam clear the jam and press enter so i clear the jam and press enter nad it prints and then says exactley the same with every page i try to print and there...

First, lift the top of the printer up past the sensor. This usually resets it or try turning it off, waiting a minute or two and then turning it back on. If this doesn't clear it and it the paper doesn't move through the printer straight, there is a small torn bit of paper somewhere that must be removed. Good Luck!

I had a paperjam and even after clearing the jam, it's still telling me that i need to clear it. I know there is nothing in there and have tried everything i know to do to clear out this message. Does...

1) try to unplug power cord
2) check sensor flapper in fixing assy
3) open close few times all doors
4) if that helped clean rollers pick up, feed, separation
5) if nothing helps call service because you have pcb error issues
6) if you do not want to call service - Throw it trough the window :-)

Hope that helped.

Epson sx600fw displaying paperjam, No sign of any jam

did it happen after physically cleaning/flushing the head? I've had this a couple of times and clearly no jam. I removed the cartridges again, ran the rollers backwards and forwards a few times using the white gears, and powered up .... it recognises no cartridge present so went through the replacement again and the fault then clears. I think the s/w gets its knickers in a twist Printer is a heap of poo, and clearly designed to use asmuch ink as possible as it needs cleaning far too often. Wasted too much time on gettingit to print

CLX 2160 - paperjam

There is probably a jam in the paper feed area. Pull the paper tray out and stick your hand in to find and remove any paper stuck there. Then reinstall the paper tray and open and close the front door of the printer. The jam should be cleared.

If it is still showing paper jam, pull the tray out again and look to make sure you didn't miss any paper, then check the other areas of the printer (starting with the exit area) for paper.
