Re: Door problem Indesit WD 12 X
cut or break the handle off and you will expose the start of the door peg. this can be levered with a small screwdriver and the door will open.
take top off
feel down the front of the machine inside and you will feel the door interlock. sticking thro the interlock, you will feel the end of the door peg which with difficulty, can be levered with thumb nail so door opens
disconnect from mains first

You could try to force the door open by inserting a screwdriver or similar at the point where then door latches in at the front of the washer, failing that, you will have to remove the top cover, and force the door open from the inside. You are probably going to have fit a new door lock. Hope this helps.
Something has caused the washer to not release the door. Is there an error code that is flashing (FE?). A locked door can be due to too much water in the basket, suds causing false water detection (should be using HE), or perhaps the drain is clogged.
If you are sure that the water is not going to spill out on floor, then you might be able to get door open by unplugging the unit and waiting a few minutes (mine took an hour) for the electric lock to release.
no easy way to open disconnect from mains take top off. feel down the front to where the door lock is and see if you can feel the door peg sticking thro the door interlock. force this with your fingers and with luck the door will open if can't do this way, break handle off and lever peg with a small screwdriver you can buy a handle kit complete. fitting this is not difficult - split the door and all will be revealed advise you make a carefull note of where springs go etc before you start stripping it down or take a few fotos if you have a digicam
try turning the timer knob/programme selector dial round to a black dot, switch appliance off then back on again. the red light should flash once, then pause, then twice then pause then three times. the appliance should now be reset and your door should open, if not there could be a fault on the main pcb control unit.
hope this helps
