Washing Machine Door is jammed (Indesit WD12x): I am using my landlord's washing machine for the first time, and tried to open the door too early. Now it won't open at all - and is flashing a red light (slowly). I've tried running another wash cycle, but it's still jammed. Any help much appreciated.

yes u can open door from the inside, take the top off (take plug out first)put your arm down to near the door latch and you will feel the mechinism there just gently push down or up until the door opens,if water is still in the washer then take drain pipe out of the waste pipe and place a bucket on the floor then put the pipe in that to manualy drain it,hope this helps you,ps you can buy a new door handle from any washing repair shop and they are easy to replace just see how the old one comes off, rgrds, paul
Try turning off the machine at the plug for about 10 minutes or until the light on the machine disappears, then try to open the door. Usually works for me.
slide in a piece of string around the door. if lock is on the right, pull round the door til the pieces of string are at left of the door and pull left quite firmly.
take the top off the machine, put your hand down to the reigon of the door lock and by using a small screw driver the catch on the door can be forced open without doing any damage.
