Washing machine door locked indesit WD12X

My washing machine door is locked and wont open there is a flashing red light with a picture of a lock above it how do i get the door to open

F06 - Door lock fault
Issue: Washing machine door cannot be opened or closed/when the door is closed the machine the programme will not start.
Advice: If your washing machine door will not close, please check for any obstructions in the door lock.
OR,
Switch off the device. Disconnect power. Wait about 3 minutes.
Open the door, then close. Reconnect device to the network.
Start device.

Cause: Door lock fails to close / open door lock triac open / closed,
frequency signal fault

I have a indesit iwb71250 that the red door lock light is on constantly but we can open the door and shut although the machine will run it wont fill with water... any ideas
May be the switch is loose try fixing it with ascrew driver or the rubber hose is not fixed properly and the machine pump is taking air or the pump failure

I have the indesit moon washer. The red door lock light is flashing when i start the cycle which is stopping the washer from going. The door is locked properly and there is nothing caught in it.
Just sorted this problem out, wife said just b4 leaving for work,oh love the door on the washing machine wont open and theres a red light on,,OMG i thought, as she said she would find the instructions when she gets home, so i got the corless drill out and a big hammer,( not needed,) lol just turned the power off and after 2 mins the door unlocked and was able to get all the clean wifes undearware out, cheers all and hope this helps

Try turning off the machine at the plug for about 10 minutes or until the light on the machine disappears, then try to open the door.
Usually works for me.

Washing machine fault
Usually indicates door is not closed properly.
If it is shut securely, and still does not work, then you could have a faulty door lock.
Another possibility is the control unit could be faulty.
