I got a new hard drive and it will not recognize the HF207 screen. The shown screen size is normal size, not the whole wide screen size. What do I do?

You need to reload the driver you got with your monitor. Native resolution for the HF207HPB is 1600 x 900. Once you've loaded the proper driver you should select this screen resolution.

PICTURE TO BIG AT THE SCREEN.CAN NOT SEE THE PICTERS MARGIN AT THE SCREEN.HOW TO ADJUST(REDUCING PICTURE SIZE ON SCREEN)?

1) Power your wide-screen TV on and turn to a channel that is displayed with bars on the side. You need to leave this channel on to ensure you have properly adjusted your wide-screen TV.

2)
Find in your TVs settings where you can "stretch" the picture. Refer to your wide-screen TVs owner's manual for specific instructions. Some TVs may not refer to this adjustment as "stretch." You will be able to find all the information your looking for in the owners manual.

3) Adjust settings back to normal if you want to watch a program shown in 16:9 format. Keeping the screen "stretched" will cause programs shown in 16:9 format appear zoomed in, making the picture look really different.

Does the Intel 82801 chipset recognize the full capacity of a quantum 20gb hard drive?

Yes it should recognize such small drive. Note that the partitions on the drive will affect how big drives are shown.

If the drive is partitioned into two 10GB parts then you should have C: 10GB and D: 10GB

Note that if the drive is partitioned not to use the full capasity then the capasity it is partitioned to will be shown instead.

Also Note that computer hard drives the capasity is not accurate presentation of the GB available. it will always be somewhat less than the reported size, for example 1000GB disk is shown as 931.50GB
500GB disk is shown as 465.76GB and so on.

Sony laptop won't detect hard drive

If the drive hasn't been formatted, that is normal. On some systems, you also have to force the BIOS to recognize the drive by entering the BIOS setup (check with Sony or manual to learn the key needed). Once you know the proper key to tap at power on (it varies, sometimes F1, F2, Esc - who knows?), you will be presented with a simple text screen with a number of different selectable items. Choose 'Set factory defaults' and the BIOS should look for the drive and set the parameters for you. If that still doesn't work, check through the other BIOS items and you should find 'Detect fixed (or hard) drive.'
Sometimes installing a larger drive than the original can cause problems and if the BIOS is older, it may set the drive parameters of the original drive and ignore the excess capacity.

Display appearing stretched

the original image size was probably recorded in 4:3 aspect ratio...meaning your widescreen is a 16:9 ratio size screen and is stretching it outwards to fill the whole screen. If you want the image to look normal.. ie. not short and fat people.... you need to change the picture size in the settings from widescreen 16:9 to normal 4:3 tv in the settings menu most likely...Also most remotes will/should have a button for that.
