It almost sounds to me like there is an electrical issue somewhere. It shouldn't matter what the brightness is, the speakers should work the same regardless. If it is still under warranty, I would get an RMA and send it back for replacement.

Hannspree said that there is no need for a separate driver for XP and suggested I check for an updated driver for my old NVIDIA Video card... That was the answer. I now get the full 1400X900 resolution.

There is no switch. You need to find out how to adjust the volume of the Operating System and/or application on your computer and in the OSD of the monitor should provide adequate sound for day to day use.

Try right clicking in a blank area on the desktop, use the settings tab to change the resolution (make it higher/larger numbers). Then your picture should go smaller.

Please post back and let me know if this helps!

You face this problem only when you play game, right??

Then the problem is with the Resolution of VGA ( Video Graphics Array) & RAM (Random Access Memory). For high resolution games you always requires a High Resolution VGA & good speed RAM. On-board VGA wont be supporting the high resolution games, so you have to buy a high resolution VGA Card & install that in ur CPU.

Before Installing the game, you should check the requirement of that, weather ur System comes under that criteria or not??

Hi Kaspar,

Did you try to change the input settings in your monitor already?

Hi Mihail

You don't say what problems you are having with the monitor that you hoped drivers would help to resolve. Add a comment or a clarification request with more information about the actual problem might give you ideas for alternative repair strategies with a higher prospect of success than looking for Drivers.

Most display problems are rooted in either the graphics card or the graphics drivers. Monitor control only a very limited set of display properties, such as frame margin position, brightness, colour saturation and colour contrast.

Almost without exception, there are almost no monitors that require drivers to function with any Operating System. Virtually every monitor uses the Plug and Play .inf drivers built into Operating Systems. The graphics drivers are a totally separate issue from the .inf monitor drivers.

Accessing almost every driver download website that claims to have drivers available for download for specific models of monitor, will result, despite whatever optimistic stages at the beginning of the download process might indicate, in arriving at the actual driver download page only to find that no drivers are ever available after all. While driver download pages for some monitors might exist, no actual drivers are ever available to download from them.

If there is no physical defect with the button controls on the monitor, the asker should test the monitor at different graphics resolutions, test a different monitor cable and then test a different monitor. These are the only practical options available.

I hope this helps.

Yes you are correct. You will need a male to male audio connector similar to a headphone jack. You can pick one up at a dollar store and it will work. You will need it to be going to the speaker out on the sound card to the monitor.

Here is the manual as well.

If it helped please give me 4 thumbs!! good luck and let me know if you need anything else.

You have computer problem, you can easily verify by using this monitor with another PC or another monitor with this PC.
It may be video card driver problem, since the PC was not properly shutdown, it will give you that message "boot in safe mode or normally".
