A broken drive belt, damaged brush roll, jammed brush roll bearings, tripped brush roll motor overload, failed brush roll motor or a wiring failure in the wand or nozzle can prevent the brush roll from spinning.

Bad connection, remove the connections and clean them off with a wire brush and do the same to the terminals, once done reconnect neg 1st then pos.

There are 2 ways to do this: 1) you will need a wire brush (tooth brush size) and a shop vac or a house vac with a detachable hose. Remove the burner grills and burner caps (if applicable). Using wire brush and clean slits and holes. After cleaning with wire brush, use vacuum to remove loose particles. Hopefully this works. Do not remove parts that are ******* on !!! 2) Call a professional and have the stove serviced.

If there was going to be a problem you would have it by now. Steel wool is not a good idea as there are bits left over that may get between moving parts and cause problems. Normally stick with a tooth brush and wd-40 or electrical parts cleaner.

Clean the outside and inside

• clean the outside with a moist cloth, inside with hot water and a soft sponge.
• clean the heating element with a soft to mediym bristle brush, after dry with paper towels. DO NOT use a steel wire brush or a hard bristle brush

It could be your brush bar is not working properly if there is debris restricting the endcaps, the brush bar motor could be defective, it could be a switch or wiring problem.

Remove the rear cap from the unit. Power comes in from the black wire with the white being common. Hold a voltmeter lead on the white and check for power on the black. Power goes across the bottom of the speed control unit via a buss bar. Check for power on the right side, I think it is a red wire (may be a white one). Power is taken into the motor via that wire, goes thru the windings and the brushes and then out the other brush wire and back to the board. Check for power on the return wire. If it is dead then either the windings in the motor are burned out or one of the brushes is dirty and needs to be cleaned and reseated prpperly [note there is one and only one way the brush goes in!!!! Install it incorrectly and the brush will not touch the commutator.

Try that and see if it runs after cleaning the brushes.

Use a grill brush, if you have porcelain grates then use brush for porcelain. If you have cast the wire brush one works great. Don't use wire brush on porcelain it will scrap it off.

wire brush, heat up grill to warm and clean with wire brush. After you get the built up food and grease off remove grates and clean with soap and water to finish the job.
