This was probably a manufacture defect right from the begining which would explain what happened. My guess there was a very small crack and quickly developed into serious problem.

The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

Let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

If it stops at 16 seconds and is a sensor model, it probably has a defective humidity sensor.

If it stops after 22 seconds, that means the controller has detected a problem, usually a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

If you do indeed have a problem, Since it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty. I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer.

Panasonic Inverter combination microwave/convection unit. Microwave barely working, convection ok, problem part?

your issue sounds like low output from the magnetron, if this is the case replacement of the magnetron is the only solution, Here's a link for magnetrons on Amazon to give you an idea of the expense involved:

you may decide to replace the microwave instead of repairing.

Inside oven, right side is a small panel that has a hole in it. should it be replaced....Panasonic Dimension 4...if so whats the part called

There's a grating for the interior light, and another panel a little further back for the microwave output of the magnetron. The microwave panel should not have a hole in it. That would probably indicate some kind of magnetron failure. Not user serviceable. Time to visit a competent tech and/or a service facility.

Change panasonic convection microwave from celcius to farenheit

If it is able to do that it will be explained in the owner manual.

Either call Panasonic customer service with that model number or Google the model with "manual" for the book.

Panasonic would be your best bet.
