Mitsubishi dlp 60735. Has a new bulb, been dusted, self diagnosis blinks 1-2 but still shuts itself off after about 20 seconds. What do I do now?

Sounds like its overheating.
Are the fans working properly?

Did you buy a quality bulb (or one of the cheap junk bulbs around $20-$30?)

Hi: why is it that when i turn on my mitsubishi tv model wd-82c12 the volume is all the way up and i can't turn it down?

The volume button on the remote or the TV is stuck. Try this first, Turn the TV on from the TV (put the remote in a different room) now turn it down from the TV if the volume stays down, the remote up volume is stuck. If it stays loud The main TV board needs to be replaced. If it stays down carefully take the remote apart. check for tiny screws in the batteries compartment if no screws it all clips. Now clean the remote (try not to touch the curcit board).

I have a mitsubishi perfectape vhs player. I was wondering how i adjust the tracking on the player so the tapes don't jitter when they show the picture? model number HS-U580

Do you have the model number available? It should be on the back or bottom of the unit. Before adjusting, clean the heads and verify that the tape is running at the proper height past each head. There are three head assemblies to inspect: the rotating video head, the stationary sync head, and the stationary audio head. The sync signal is on the top edge of the tape and the audio signal is on the bottom edge. If the sync head or an adjacent guide pin has come loose, that could cause tracking problems. Caution: the video heads are very delicate. They're located in the slots at the bottom edge of the rotating drum. Use a foam-tipped swab with straight isopropyl alcohol, and gently wipe the heads in the same direction as the tape goes (do not wipe perpendicular to the tape direction; you could snap the head off if it snags on the swab).

I have a Mitsubishi 73" tv WD73837. When I turn the tv on, On the right side in vent it's very loud I unplug the tv, it wines down and stops. Could it be the cooing fan or? Thank you so much, Gloria

Yes it is. It's a cheep fix. The fans are on ebay. If you have the manual for the TV. Look in the specs for the TV and locate the fan. You will see the voltage and rpm of the motor. Most likely it will be a 12v dc fan. It has two to four screws holding the fan. And a small plug. I hope this helps you in some way. THE CB SHOP OF COLEBROOK NH. Via Facebook.

No error code 61 listed, only a 66 error code which indicates lamp issues: 66 A) Lamp did not turn on at P-ON sequence... Check CJ4 circuitry B) No Lamp Inserted............... No Lamp inserted C) Disconnected cable between ballast and lamp.... HV connection or lead wire to lamp. D) Lamp-Enable goes to PWB-MAIN but not to Ballast....Lamp Cartridge Failure for lamp see the following web site: http://www.shopjimmy.com/dlplamps?tv_brands_select=Mitsubishi&tv_models=Mitsubishi+WD-73638 recommend using the manufacture part# as many replacements for Mitsubishi will not work.

Turns off shortly after turn on

try blowing out the set and especially the three fans and the area around them---seen a number of these where a dirty fan will slow down just a little and even stop set from coming on at all or shutting down sometimes. We usually roll them outside and with a aircompressor clean the set out, it usually looks like a dust storm.I have had more than a few brought in that would not power up and as soon as cleaned outside, came up and worked. The actual air intakes are on the front of the set and dust gets sucked into the unit.

I have an 82" Mitsubishi DLP tv. I have replaced the lamps 3 times and just replaced the ballast. I am still getting 6 red blinks and 1 yellow

I hate being the bearer of bad news, had the same problem, and I found out that the problem with DLP is that after so long, nothing that you do will fix it. A TV repairman offered me $100 for my set and I took it, that was 2 years ago and it still goes through bulbs and ballast several times a year. Now when i see him he always says I never should have taken that TV. It never plays long enough to sell it. On a liter note: 4k si approaching $1000 now, that's the way to go.

Mitsubishi WD-73838 - Watching TV all seems good and then it shut off small pop heard, thought a lamp but it turns on with picture & sound then off after 10 seconds.

Do you see a small fan close to it? Is it gunked up with dust? It could be the bulb but it sounds like it isn’t getting cooled.

I'm dissembling my Mitsubishi Big Screen TV model # 65809 for disposal. Are there any capacitors or other things which might have enough stored energy in them to be dangerous to me?

Yes, but if you leave it unplugged for at least 1/2 hour you should be safe. Use insulated tools or rubber gloves to be sure.
