there is a watt governor on inside for lights. remove this governor and wire direct for lights. this should fix problem. have a good day !!

I realize that this is an old post. However, the best solution is to replace the receiver with 3 or 4 speed wire harness, which includes the capacitor, fan speed switch, forward/reverse switch and female plug for $15 as of today's writing. While you may be able to find a 85112-04 replacement receiver, I found them to be an expensive solution at $80. In addition, there is no telling how long the replacement receiver would last. To purchase a 4 speed wire harness for this Hunter fan, they can be ordered fromCasablanca. Casablanca you say? Yes! Casablanca is a subsidiary of Hunter Fans. This 4 speed wire harness, part number K016501H01, is standard in many Hunter and Casablanca fans. Hopefully this will help someone looking for a low-cost solution to replacing the fan. I fixed my 85112-4 receiver. another person stated the problem was a triad shorting out. found the part and seen what it was. i disassembled the receiver (3 screws and seperate the 2 circuit boards). then i took a screw driver and scratched between the three soldered terminals to make sure they were not contacting each other...wha-la !! it fixed mine !! woo-hoo

To help those on fixya to help you need to put out more info as there are many models of fan's if there's a model number you need to put it up with you're question. for now here is a fan motor that maybe what you need. Take apart you're fan and look at the motor for model tag's and look it up. P.S. most small fan's are simple 3 corded motor's a (+) & (-) & (ground) so if it fit's and you know you're wiring you can make any motor work. just make check that the motor does not take to much current you may end up with a hot cord. Replace the battery, if that does not clear problem replace remote and receiver. Receiver is located under ceiling canopy on top of fan unit. Go on line to find replacements and instructions.

don't know the device but I would call those switches - toggle switches and I am guessing that whatever you set them too they would have to match the ones set inside the fan and the ones set in the remote.
