Years ago, upon my suggestion, the company I work for purchased a Linoscan 2200 with the Newcolor 5000 software and I am in need of some updated software. I used the scanner and software on the same machine for close to 10 years and was hoping I could download some software to install on the new machine which is running Windows XP. The only software I have is Newcolor 1.0 and a disc of the beta software for 2.0, however they are not XP compatible. Do you know where I might be able to find this software? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am running Newcolor 5000 on an XP box. There are some issues but it does run fine. I just ignore the "out of memory" messages that pop up and keep scanning. Upon booting, the device manager will try to install the scanner (that needs to be on to be recognized). It will need to be cancelled seven times. This happens every boot, not ideal but it's how I do it. For a while I was dual booting to W2K but now just tolerate the eccentricities of Newcolor.

Software update

If the unit works ok I would not just update for the sake of updating--can cause problems and if no need why take the chance---I have seen some where the update causes all new problems.

I am unable to start my LifeCam VX-5000. I keep getting the message "LifeCam.exe has stopped working..." What's going on? It worked fine a day ago and now it won't work.

Please run windows update and also update the unit software driver.

Why won't Minolta film Scanner work with iMac and OSX 10.6.2?

I bought a secondhand, nearly new Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 a few years ago but never tried to use it until now when I tried to get it to work with my iMac running OSX 10.6.2. I uploaded the Dimage software but I cannot get it to recognise the scanner - any suggestions? Do I need to get updated drivers?

The software might not be compatible. but for you to use the wireless keyboard and mouse you don't need a software just plug the wireless adapter and sync the keyboard and mouse . it will start working
