Software Update Is there a Software Update For the Cobra 2750 GPS? I Purchased this About Two Years Ago, And Would Like to Update the Software. And Cobra Said there is no Update For this Device...False Advertisement, Because When I Purchased the GPS, I Was Told I Could Update the Software Anytime.

If the unit works ok I would not just update for the sake of updating--can cause problems and if no need why take the chance---I have seen some where the update causes all new problems.

Use the drop-down menus to select "Nav One 2750-2950-3000-3080" and "Software Updates." Click "Submit."

Click "How do I get and load software updates?" Click the bold "HERE" link.

Scroll down and click "Nav One 3000/3080."

Click on the latest update link to download the update to the computer.

Connect the NavOne's power but do not turn it on. Connect a USB cable to the computer, and connect the other end to the GPS.

The GPS device's LEDs light up, indicating a connection.

Double-click on the update file you have downloaded.

Click "Next" until the update begins.

When you are notified of completion, close the update

To update the software connect the satnav to your computer. Download and install webupdater from http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27. When it's installed it will search for updates. Follow the prompts.

how do i get updates

I did some digging in the files on my units drive. I have found a solution that gave me 2009 maps. With a little bit of computer file knowledge, you can register (for free in the developer section) at NAVTEQ. Their website is "nn4d.com". It took me about two hours of separating different database files but it was smooth sailing from there. Good Luck
