Cannot burn CD from Kodak Easyshare Software

I own a Kodak Easyshare CX7430 and I am using Easyshare Software version 4.02. I have a CyberDrive CW078D Cd-r/RW CD burner. I checked the compatibility against the list of burners that Kodak software is compatible with and this is on the list as being compatible. My Operatging system is Windows XP. I try to burn a CD off of Easyshare sofware and I get a message that the CD driver burners cannot be accessed and reinstall the software in order to burn a cd. I have tried this several times, have updated my cd burner and also have tried repairing the kodak software. Nothing is working. I contacted Kodak Easyshare and they are no help. They told me to do what I just mentioned I did above. Does anyone know what I need to do or what I am not doing correctly to get this to work? Thanks.

If you are using the Pro version of XP, it will burn your photos to the CD itself. As I recall, this didn't work in the Home version of XP, but you could try it. Simply drag and drop the photos onto the burner drive from within Windows Explorer. Once they are all there, I think there's a menu item which tells XP to perform the burn and eject the disk. All that assumes that the burner is working OK on your machine

How can i move photos from internal memory

You'll need either a USB cable running from the camera to your computer or a Kodak camera dock connected to the computer, and the proper version of Kodak EasyShare software. The software is available for download, at no cost, at www.Kodak.com

Need to format my 4GB sdhc memory card to my Kodak easyshare cx7430....any ideas

I've tried a 4GB memory card in my Kodak CX7430 camera and it doesn't work. I've been able to use any size up to 2GB so I'd suggest going to a 2GB card.

Format sdhc card for Kodak EasyShare CX7430

According to the specs on the Kodak web site, the CX7430 uses SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into SD devices, there are hardware differences that keep them from working. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Have transferred pictures from camera to kodak easyshare . how do i now transfer from kodak easyshare to a cd? thanks a. l. brooks [email protected]

On the newer versions of Easyshare
7.0 up to 8.0
there is an option to CD/DVD Burn

Just simply insert the CD on your Computer and Put the pictures you wanna burn on the Picture Tray<right side pane on easyshare>
Click on the icon for CD Burn

If you have a lower version of Easyshare

visit www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw
you can download the latest version from there
but before downloading it
make sure you remove your current version
so it will not conflict with each other

Copy picture to CD after downloading to computer

well as long as your RW's have been erased then I couldn't tell you. But i can point you in the right direction of some better software to use. 1. ACDSee - http://store.acdsee.com/servlet/ControllerServlet?Action=DisplayPage&Locale=en_US&SiteID=acd&id=ProductDetailsPage&productID=69658800 - download a trial and check it out. 2. Nero Photoshow Deluxe - http://www.usnero.photoshow.com/home - my personal pick because Nero is the leader in CD burning technology. Of course your cd burner might be the cause as well. try burning something other than photos to test it. A good reboot after multimedia multitasking is always good as well. hope this helps you. let me know.

Remove any Kodak Software. Reboot the computer Plug in the camera. This should now be listed as an extra drive in 'My Computer' and/or The scanner/Camera Wizard Window will come up asking what action to take.

Kodak EasyShare Software/Printer problems

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems. If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date. You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.
