I also have the same problem.which started after the update. I now have encountered an error,5006.0 which by way of Kodak I need there help to fix or my computer will crash.

I phoned but unable to understand a thing I was told.

Very fustrating! I too have enjoyed by camera for at least 3 years, problem free. Now, I'm scared to death it'll hurt my computer and have removed software.

Would buying a new camera be the answere to my problem>

I want to thank FixYa for all the help @ support they have provided me. [email protected]

Remove any Kodak Software. Reboot the computer Plug in the camera. This should now be listed as an extra drive in 'My Computer' and/or The scanner/Camera Wizard Window will come up asking what action to take.

Need to format my 4GB sdhc memory card to my Kodak easyshare cx7430....any ideas

I've tried a 4GB memory card in my Kodak CX7430 camera and it doesn't work. I've been able to use any size up to 2GB so I'd suggest going to a 2GB card.

Format sdhc card for Kodak EasyShare CX7430

According to the specs on the Kodak web site, the CX7430 uses SD cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into SD devices, there are hardware differences that keep them from working. You need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Problem for Kodak EasyShare One Digital Camera Kodak easyshare camera not transfering photos

check device manager to check if the camera is detected properly when connected via USB, try deleting the camera device then reconnect the camera and the drivers should re-install. hopefully you should then be able to transfer images from the camera.

if this fails try using a memory card reader instead of transferring directly from the camera.

I cant open my easyshare program..i can transfer pics but cant find the folder

Easyshare should be in your startup menu if you installed it properly on your pc. You can do a search on the pc for easyshare ore you could reinstall it from the cd which came with your camera. It should also show up in a rightclick menu if you try to open a photo. When you do find it, send a link to the desktop.

Dark pictures from kodak cx7430

Is your camera set to auto mode? I'm not sure if the CX7430 has manual settings or not, but try making sure its on auto.
Its possible the lens or the CCD (the device responsible for actually taking the photo) is going bad.

This guy - Darntoothysam has a CCD assembly as a low cost fix, 15 dollars.

Kodak EasyShare Software/Printer problems

Kodak has been making a lot of changes to that program, due to problems. If you loaded the software that came with the camera, it is very likely out of date. You need to visit the Kodak website and download the latest version of the software.
