Emerson microwave oven will not stop beeping ..."code" light is constantly displayed How do you stop the beeping noise? I have an Emerson MW9710W Suffix A microwave and it won't stop beeping either. It just started beeping at regular intervals and it displays 2, then a few minutes later 22, then 2:22 and finally 22:22 but none of the buttons work - its like its possessed... it's pretty crazy. I tried a hard reset to no avail. I got it as a present last December and can't find the warranty info at the moment - any help would be fantastic!
You have a shorted 2 pad on the keypad.
Since
it's less than one year old, it should be fully covered under warranty.
I'd suggest contacting the manufacturer to get it fixed free.

Our Emerson MW9710W does the same thing....it just randomly starts beeping and "2" appears on the display. It's slow at first, then it gets faster until it gets itself into a frenzy. It's nuts!
Same exact thing. Except mine shows "1" then "11" then "1:11" and so on.
