Zen stone 1 gb mp3 player canot play any songs can read on pc but can not open on my computer can charge and can on what must me the problem?

it is not charged. the computer does not charge it.

say yes to the formating thing, its fancy electronics talk for "do you want to cahnge something on your player?"

The red light means that your zen stone needs to be charged or that it is fully charged. If it plays music it is fine. If it doesn't turn on and has a red light try charging it.

The funny thing was that I could see the drive in My Computer but I couldnt access the directory because it was apparently corrupted

So I reformatted the player using comand prompt. So far, I uploaded one song and I was able to turn the stupid zen stone on and play it.

WARNING: Reformatting the drive will delete ALL files in the player.

have you installed the software provided by your mp3 player..??

um i think u just need to drag songs to ur zen drive on ur c drive when u connect it to charge its better then sync the three red lights are just when u turn the volume all the way up and it will till u thats the volume limt no big deal but and if u do have music then it might be ur headphones

Hey Sheikhea!

You won't need to download or install any programs if you have Windows Media Player on your computer. You can use other programs but WMP is probably the easiest!

1. Plug in your MP3 player using the USB cord (should be in box)
2. Open WMP
3. (If your songs are already in Library skip this step). Click "File" (top left hand corner) then "Add to Library..." Click "OK" WMP will now find all music on your computer and add it to Library.
4. If the internet is connected WMP will attempt to find song info such as title, artist, album etc. Otherwise right click on song and click "Edit"
5. Click on "Sync" tab (top of player). A sidebar should appear with "Creative zen.. etc" written on the top.
6. Drag songs into sidebar.
7. Click "Start Sync"
8. The songs will now download onto your MP3 player.

To organise your files into folders etc. go to "My Computer" then "Creative Zen etc" then "Music" and create folders (right click "create folder") copy, paste, and drag your songs in folders as you like.

You can now unplug you MP3 player and turn it on!

maybe your song folder is set as hidden

go and delete some songs by this your zen memory is free.
and go to adjust power property and select the right power management for ur eqipment.

Mine was also completely dead, with the reset doing nothing! I held the vol+ and the Play button at the same time and it was good to go. Holding just the play button or the vol+ button didnt acheive anything. But as I held both together, It came back to life instantly and I havent had any problems with it (for a week so far).
