I have a Jenn Air 3030 and have used the oven cleaning function and cannot get the door open. I have run it through the cycle again and still cannot get the door open. Any trouble shooting tips?

Perhaps it hasn't cooled down enough; or you may have to run the self-cleaning cycle again. The oven has to reach a certain temperature before it starts to turn the residue to ash.You may have interrupted its cycle.

It then has to cool off sufficiently to safely open the door.

For basic cleaning, use a non-abrasive cleanser or detergent and water. Clean the oven frame, oven door outside of the gasket and the gap in the gasket. (Don't clean the gasket.) With a damp sponge (with detergent if needed), wipe up any spills in the oven. (Sugary or acidic spillovers could damage the porcelain.) Wipe up any grease that spilled in the oven. Wipe the control panel with a damp cloth then dry. Clean the oven door with detergent and water. Clean the window or glass with detergent and water or glass cleaner. Use care to keep the water from seeping behind the window.

Next if you want to do a self-cleaning cycle. Remove the oven racks, the broiler pan and any other pans or items that are in the oven. Close the oven door. Press the Clean pad and then press Autoset(0) button to get the length of time to run the cleaning cycle. Press 2 or 4 to shorten or lengthen the cleaning cycle. After 5 seconds the door will lock and the cleaning cycle will begin. The door will remain locked until after the oven cools down (at least an hour after the cycle ends). Wipe up any white ash after the oven door unlocks. If you want the cleaning cycle to be delayed, press the Stop pad within 5 seconds of setting the length of the cleaning cycle. Use the number pads to set the time that you want the oven to end the cleaning cycle. (Make sure that it is later in the day with sufficient time to run the cleaning cycle.)

Hi, code F3 says to replace the oven sensor, located in the oven at the top left corner. Replace the oven sensor.

CLEAN PAD
Use to set a self-clean cycle or a delayed
self-clean cycle. One press of the Clean
pad sets up an immediate clean cycle. A
second press of the Clean pad sets up a
delayed clean cycle.
• Clean oven
frame, door
frame (area
outside of gasket)
and
around the
opening in the door gasket with a nonabrasive
cleaner such as Bon Ami*. These
areas are not exposed to cleaning temperatures.
• Remove air grille.
• Remove oven racks. If racks are left in
during a clean cycle, it may impair function
and they will discolor. Turn off the
oven light and close door.

TO SET FOR IMMEDIATE START:
1. Press Clean pad once.
2. Press the Auto Set pad for 3 hours of
cleaning time, press again for 4 hours
and again if 2 hours of clean time are
desired.
3. CLEANING and LOC plus the clean
time will appear in the display.
4. When the clean cycle is complete,
CLEANED will be displayed. LOC will
remain on until the oven has cooled
(approx. 1 hour).
5. When the oven is cool, LOC will no
longer be displayed and the door may be
opened.
6. Wipe out the oven interior with a damp
cloth. If soil remains it indicates the
cycle was not long enough.

TO CANCEL SELF-CLEAN:
1. Press Cancel pad.
2. If LOC is NOT displayed, open oven
door. If LOC is displayed, allow oven to
cool.

After the lock indicator light goes out, move the door lock lever to the left. The oven door can now be opened. Turn the selector and temperature knobs from clean to off AFTER THE DOOR IS UNLOCKED. If the temperature knob is turned to off BEFORE the door is unlocked, the door will not open. Forcing the lock will damage the lock mechanism. If this should happen, return the temperature knob back to CLEAN, unlock the door, THEN turn the temperature knob off. I did it by mistake. I tried to move the lever over and of course, it didn't open but went to restart. I hit the cancel button and then tried the door again and it opened. Yup, we all here feel likes dorks!

The lock motor may have failed. Most often, bending a coat hanger into a hook and sliding from the right side as you move the door to the right,will allow you to release the lock and open the door.

any power to unit at all?? clear, start, clean ,button?? what happens when you push them??? clock on?what happens when you try to set to clean again??? it should activate hte door lock latch at which point cancel and it should reset itself. with any luck! what happened thankgiving how was it fixed

This is not a problem. The cleaning cycle goes on for approximately 4 hours as I recall. it will unlock by itself when done. Read your user guide for troubleshooting tips. if you can't locate your copy, one is available on line at the Jenn-Air site
