Laptop showing problem in Audio device

try system restore point or reload sound drivers may help

re install the drivers

The sound was not coming because the Audio driver was not available.

the above link is for Windows Vista, but if you are using windows XP, you can change the operating system name to Windows Xp and download the driver.

Note : Your Notebook comes in two flavor in sound card (Sound blaster from Creative labs and Sigmatel drivers)

Download the driver according to your chipset, but if you are not sure download both, one will work fine.

go to the manufacturer web site (download/support) and download the XP wireless driver for your laptop

You need to know your laptop model, and then you can search for audio driver on manufacturer homepage!

Reload the audio driver if you have Dell Inspiron. Click the Dell help center icon, and click support once the webpage opens. fin dyour model, download the audio driver. Works for me everytime I reload Windows XP or when the sound fails.
