Your GPS might need a trip back to the factory if the screen has stopped responding to touch. But before doing that, you might want to try the screen calibration routine below:
1) Shut the 760 off.
2) Put your finger anywhere on the screen and hold it there while performing the following steps.
3) Turn the 760 back on with the slider switch and quickly slide it to the lock position.
4) Keep holding that finger on the screen for about 20 seconds or so - then follow the calibration instructions on the screen. You might want to use a stylus or other narrow, blunt object instead of your finger to get pinpoint accuracy.
If this fails to solve the problem, contact Garmin Support directly below:
If the Touch Sceen is not responding properly, calibrate the touch screen.. Turn the Nuvi off then back on Slide Power key to the right (lock) Hold your finger on the secrren for 30 seconds until the calibration screen appears Follow the on-screen instructions
The touchscreen is intermittent and needs to be replaced. If your unit has a serial # that starts with "12P", "14V" or "143" then you have a style of screen that can fail without physical damage to the screen or glass. Please see this link:

The easiest solution is to put an sd card (8gb or less) into the sd slot. Have Garmin Express install to the sd card.
You can also do a hard reset and try to install to the device itself. A hard reset restores the files to factory default, so it may free up enough space.
There are three levels of fixes, please try them in order:
1. Reset the GPS using the Reset button, on the back, just under the Antenna Hinge. Resetting will turn off the GPS, and then turn it back on, if connected to power. Test, if fixed, great, otherwise, go to fix 2.
2. Turn the power off, then press and hold the powerbutton for up to 2 minutes. The GPS will turn on, and display a "PreBoot Mode" message. When that message disappears, and the screen calibration screen appears, follow the on-screen instructions, and you are fixed. If you still cannot use the touch screen, repeat fixes 1 and 2 several times, just to be sure., then go to fix 3
3. The touch-screen glass has probably broken or lost its connection with the GPX motherboard. You can order new touch screen glass on the web and install yourself, if you are techy in nature, otherwise do a search for "garmin nuvi 660 repair" and choose your service.
