My Samsung T629 started flashing the Samsung screen on and off repeatedly today when I went to take a video. I've removed the battery and re-started it but get the same problem. The phone's not turning off, just flashing that screen then going black for a second before flashing the screen again. T-Mobile thinks its water damage (The dot under the battery is 1/6th red. Help!

The Sony diagnostic routine for 4 blinks indicates it to be a vertical deflection problem.
Did you see a solid horizontal line in the center of the screen prior to it going out? If so, that is a tell tale sign for vertical problems.

Check where your plug go's in to your powersupply if it is well fitted. ////sometimes it dosnt make well connection then you will struggle to get it on.

i think your capacitor is blown, do a google search for insignia, lcd, capacitor...
you can buy another one for about $2 but its a pain to install, you can also instead buy a new powerboard for about $80, its an east install and you wont blow more capacitors
