My toshiba equium a200-1v0 will not burn to dvd

According to the support page the firmware update fixes the iTunes
issue with “The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error
occurred (2131) when you tried to burn playlist to disc for blank CD-R
media. the region code error for DVD movie playback.
NOTE Please DO NOT USE THIS UPDATE FOR A TOSHIBA LAPTOP the computers
may have the same optical drive but the firmware updates may not be
identical and flashing with the wrong firmware may damage your drive”.
This isn’t just the Toshiba Equium A200 laptop getting an error of
2131, the other notebook’s manufacturers also established the source
of the problem and they have to provide a firmware update to download
and fix this problem. The best thing you can do is wait until Toshiba
provide a firmware update specifically for the TSST TS-L632H version
TO01 drive in your laptop.

Are you reading retail or homemade CDs?
Use retail to test reader, any will do.
Not all homemades work in all readers.

The laptop comes with company spec and only the graphics card cannot be upgraded as its an inbuilt process.

YOU SHOULD GO THO TOSHIBA SERVICE CENTER AND YOU CAN REPAIR IT ON ANY COMPUTER SHOP

click download and follow the instructions.
NOTE THAT YOU HAVE TO BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN UPDATING THE BIOS BECAUSE YOU COMPUTER MAY DEVELOP MORE PROBLEMS IF YOU DO IT WRONGLY.

The core2 duo chips will be a different socket to your celeron cpu so can do that unfortunately. You may be able to upgrade to a faster cpu of the same socket type but will probably need a bios update for it to run at proper speed.

Unfortunately laptops arent really designed to be upgraded at all bar extra ram/hd/dvdrw.
