This is actually a problem with the recovery disk. Your notebook comes with a recovery partition that will allow you to perform a recovery without discs. I would suggest you hold "0" when you power on the computer, and then follow the prompts. You can as well call the Toshiba support for assistance.

Question edited to remove phone number. Never do that!! We have 12 million views here a year or which 5% are scammers. Question moved from Toshiba Televisions to computers. Take it to a computer shop and they will take it apart and fix the motherboard to remove the BIOS Password.

How to play a DVD on Toshiba Satellite Pro C850

If you know the DVD and the DVD drive is in proper working order, it could mean that the software you are running just may have some problems. Try downloading a copy of VLC (VideoLan Client) this application is free and open source (and no it's not something I created and am just trying to get people to use...it's just something that works great, and completely free) VLC can play almost any video file or DVD that it encounters. If VLC can't play it, I would think it's likely there may be something with your disk or your DVD drive.

Hello,Do you have a wifi card in the computer? It is a hardware part that you need so that the computer can connect to the wifi. If you have that but can't find it in the operating system. I suggest that you either install or update the driver for it. You can use RadarSync to scan your computer for the available updates of your wifi driver.
