Unit does not operate

We have the model CA200-B. It just stopped working one day and after I cleaned it and put it back together, it just never came back on. Our operating light is blue and indicates the unit is on, either high or low and it also, does not come on.

SOURCE: CA200 red light stays on, wont turn on

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://www.ionic-pro.tv/pics/ip_manual.pdf Check page 9 of the pdf file - "unit may need resetting - press the on button to reset" - I guess you have probably tried this, so try pressing and holding it in for a while. Have you cleaned the ionizing wires? (page 8 of the pdf) - and check they are fully inserted. Take the blades out, and re-insert them again, making sure they are properly seated. If none of this helps (reset after trying each thing), then there may be a fault with the blades that could be possibly solved by getting a new set, depending on the price being worth it; http://www.gppay.com/process.php?site=ionic-pro&td=tv&action=order_form&l=english If none of that helps, then I think the control circuit is probably fried - if they will send you a replacement (unlikely, but ask them really firmly), this is almost certainly a very simple job, so please ask again if you need a hand. Hope this helps :)

SOURCE: excessive noise

In the ionic pro turbo there is a thin wire in the back that run vertical. Using two fingers try wipping it clean of any dust while using the cleaning rod in combination. Also use purfied distilled water to clean blades. Tap water contain many metals that can cause arching. Be sure the blades are completly dry before turning on the ionic pro turbo. If hissing is still heard use the the cleaning rod twice and check again. If you can see the arch buff the area on the blade with a paper towel or clean newspaper.

Try shaking it back and forth with it upside down.  We frequently have to use an air hose and blow the  insides out. If the wires have a build up on them the LED light continues to show.  You can also (very gently wipe down the wires.

SOURCE: oo.comAFTER CLEANING UNIT AND INSERTING

This is a common problem and if it's still under 1 year warranty, contact Ionic Pro at 800-875-8577 for a replacement that will cost you $20 for shipping to/from.
The high-voltage supply has died and cannot be repaired by the average repair person as parts just are not available.
When they get these back, they go into the trash and send you a new one.
TO PROLONG ITS LIFE, plug this into a surge protector as the electronics that are in this don't have any protection against even a small surge.

Cleaned element and put back in, turned unit on, and it automatically shuts off. help

have a close look at connections and element condition. most like element is damaged and is drawing too high a current. Best not to touch these things when cleaning but use soft bruch and vacuum.(unit unplugged ;O) Bad connections will also cause this.

My ionic breeze doesnt seem to blow any air at all cleaning light stays off Is this normal?

best best is to unplug the unit, and clean the blades completely with a damp cloth, then wait a few for the blades to dry and put them back in the unit. usually cleaning these every 2 to 3 weeks and they should be kept clean to be effective at removing the contaminants in the air. theirs alot of controversy over thease untis thease day's butthey do fuction properly if kept in top condition. also note that the blades must be properly seated in the houseing to work. safty feature that if bumped or knocked down it will cause the system to mostlikly stop working till you pull the blades out and put them back inj. i observed this myself with a model and they are failry good quality but a pain to clean. good luck with it.

One hissing one shut down

I have two Quadras not sure about the GPS. The only way to clean them properly is to complete the folowing steps. This will eliminate the hissing noises and intermittent shutdowns. Clean the blade unit as normal and leave it out of the unit. Unplug the unit, remove the four phillip screws on the top of the unit where the collector grid slides down. Next remove the four screws holding on to the base of the unit. After this you will see two additional screws also by the base that need to be removed. Look carefully between the grills of the unit and you will see about 12 to fifteen tiny screws that hold the grill together. After these are removed take off the UL label and seprate the grill. You may have to gently pull up on the top where the power switch is located. I have found if you use a lightly dampened scotch brite pad to carefully clean the two wires works best. Clean the wires and pins at the bottom and make sure all is well. Use a microfiber or lint free cloth to gently wipe everthing down and make sure the unit is dry. Put it back together and put the UL sticker back on.

Wont run after I cleaned it

On the model 30200 there is a safety interlock switch actuated by a plastic tab (about 4" down from the top of the front filter cover) on the right side. Assuming that all you did was take off the front cover and clean or replace the filter(s) and the unit was working previously, this should be your answer. If in taking off the cover the switch actuation tab was broken off, you could (carefully) wedge a tab into the slot where the switch resides. This defeats the safety aspect of certifying that the unit isn't running when you remove the cover. The safe work-around is to unplug the unit before you open it for service.

CA200 red light stays on, wont turn on

The machine is now part of a land fill elsewhere. Do to the company's attitude and refusal to help figure out what was wrong, they will not get another dime of my money. It seems that - when I tested - several of the components were zapped. I found at least one z diode out on the power supply end. I was not about to start fooling with the flyback xmfr. What amounted to the chrona wires tested fine. It is a neat idea but the company is worthless as far as customer relations. The "service" person could barely speak English (Engrish). They did not know a transistor from a fuse! I will recommend this product TO NO ONE. Ionic Pro - are you listening??? A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!
