I have a new macbook pro. I am using neatgear box (time warner cable) to get wifi. My macbook either a) won't find my wifi, b) will see my wifi and give full bars of signal but won't load pages or c) will drop wifi after about 5 minutes and will not reconnect (gives the message "connection timeout". Its getting REALLY annoying at this point!

How to remove and replace wifi card macbook pro A1286

To remove and replace the WiFi card in a MacBook Pro A1286, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Shut down your MacBook Pro and disconnect the power cord.
  2. Turn the MacBook Pro over and locate the battery. Remove the battery by pressing the battery release latch and pulling the battery out of the computer.

  7. Remove the screws that hold the WiFi card in place. There should be two screws total.
  8. Lift the WiFi card out of the motherboard and set it aside.

Dear AT&T. I can't
Clarify your question.... we are here to help, but when you make no sense....we dont read minds.
If you changed from one to another, the other should have supplied you with wifi. Sell the first one. Use the new one. This is all I can say, unless your make some sense.

Free username and password TWC wifi

How do I log in?
Initial access to TWC WiFi requires the user provide log in credentials that identify the user as a current, qualified TWC Residential or Business Class customer. Credentials can either be a TWC ID and Password or Time Warner Cable email and password.
  1. First, make sure you are within range of a TWC WiFi Hotspot and that the WiFi feature on your mobile device is turned on.
  2. Select TWCWiFi from available wireless networks.
  3. Open your browser. The TWC WiFi Connection page will appear.
  4. If you're a Standard Internet customer or above, enter your credentials. You can either use your TWC ID or your Time Warner Cable email and password.
  5. If you're not a Standard Internet customer or above, request a 30-minute free trial or purchase a TWC Access Pass for as little as $2.95/hour.
  6. Accept the Terms of Use, click Submit and connect.

Not recognized by cable modem

Turn everything off for 2 minutes, cable modem, router and pc.

Turn on modem and wait 2 minutes for the modem to sync to TW.
Turn on router after 2 mins and wait until the router syncs with the modem.
Turn on PC
It sounds like your router lost its connection to the cable modem, which happens from time to time. TW will not help with your router. I worked for a cable co and the router and modem losing sync was the at least 70% of the calls. FYI cable doesn't use DSL,just the phone co.

I have Time Warner cable. I just bought a new Sony LCD HD tv and the sound and the video are out of sync on some channels - HD and non HD I am using a HDMI cable. Any solutions that you know of?

Yes there is a simple solution. First, for some reason., Time Warner cable boxes have SERIOUS HDMI issues, including no pic, intermittent pic and sound and the one that you are having. The easy fix is to hook the TV to the cable box using the component connections instead of the HDMI. Normally I would suggest getting the cable box replaced, but I have seen customers exchange cable boxes 3 or 4 times and still have the problem or have a new problem. Use the component connections and be sure to let me know if this works. If it does, be sure to rate this solution. Thanks!
