How can I find a wirning diagram for a ice maker that has guit making ice but the pump will run?

Hello;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Your Ice machine does not have a wiring diagram. I have repaired many of these.

1.) Are you getting water? If not it is your pump.

2.) Reach in and feel the cold plate. Is it cold? If not you have a refrigerant leak.

3.) The problem may also be within your main control board.

Unless you have a current service contract these units are considered throw-always. It will cost you twice as much, if not more, to repair it than what you purchased it for, assuming you call a service company.

Go into the following website. Plug in the first 5 numbers on your model number and a list of model numbers will appear. Your model number is incorrect.

Select the model number then click on parts and you will get diagrams of your icemaker. Water Filters Lawn Garden Appliance Parts

Frigidaire FFU14F5HW Hi-Temp alert. Checked thermistor at front panel pins 1 to 2, reading was 162.8K ohms. Removed panel to check thermistor, then put it in a cup of ice water-now reads 32.1K ohms. P

Check the internal temp with a thermometer. Anything above -12c will give you the hi alarm. Check the condenser is clean and drier not too warm, no ice build up inside the evaporator and all fans working properly etc, before suspecting thermistors.

This evaporator coil gets all iced up about once a month and quits cooling

Check the condenser coil is clear and clean, and thermostat set about 2 or 3. Also check the fan is running with door closed, and no food is too close to the top stopping the airflow over the evaporator. It may be as simple as a blocked drain backing up - check the drain tube next time it defrosts.

Beverage Air. Model: CFG24-1. The evaporator fan motor does not turn while unit is operating. The entire condensing unit is working, except the evaporator fan motor. When I removed the evaporator fan motor...

The fan has a limit control wired in series that shuts the fan down until the coil temperature reaches 25*F. this prevents the fan from blowing warm around after defrost.
There is also a switch which is placed for the door to close. Either one may be defective.
Worst case is the freezer is not pulling down temperature wise.

My model number 2811 has ice build up on the right hand side of the freezer. the service manuals indicate i need to pull the "cal rod heater down to make contact with the evaporator assembly and silicone...

Diagrams here : http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Sub-zero-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-2811/3054/0161000?searchedModel=2811&blt=05

These are the best I can Do with the Diagrams but I can explane what is going on, and possible soloutions.

Your defrost drain is mostlikeley frozen. This is located on the right hand side, just inside the metal cover. When you remove the meteal cover (((evaperator cover or water pan))) you will see the hole on the right.

Since this is cloged then the water stays in the cover or pan and freezes after the defost cycle.

after you remove the cover you will see the evaperator (( aluminum tubing with fins))) and the heater ((( Black Rod )))

When your machine gose into defrost about every 8 hrs, this heater melts the ice off the evaperator((( Hence Frost Free ))) and the water goest into the (((( evaperator cover or pan ))) and flows to the defrost drain hole to a pan under the machine.

They make a after market heater for the drain... it is a pain to install.

First I would try to defrost the drain by poring war water down it and verifying it goes into the pan at the bottome of the machine.

When your done you will need to silicone around the (((cover / pan))) where it covers the defrost drain hole.

Good Luck

Defrost cycle on my elecrtolux ER 7926/1 B fridge freezer seem to be to long and temperature in the freezer drops down to 0 C every defrost cycle, does enyone have a wiring diagram for this model please

No i dont but i could suggest you check the heating element and the clixon that connects to the evaporator. If the heater does not function, it takes a much longer time than usual to switch the freezer on.

Thaw's. Turn-off for period of time it would freeze as normal

Make sure nothing is inhibiting air flow. I don't think it is advisable to store food in an ice machine however that is not likely the problem unless the food itself is inhibiting air flow. Most ice machine manufacturers recommend against storing any food in an ice machine. If there is a freezer component in you model the check to see if the evaporator coils are frosting up and the frost is blocking airflow causing the ice storage chamber to get warm. High humidity can cause frosting. Leaving a door to the ice maker open too long can cause frosting. A low refrigerant charge can do this although it seems logically like it should not. With a very slightly low charge one end of the evaporator gets super cold and the other end is not cold enough. Frosts starts collecting on the super cold end and accumulates across the evaporator coil to the other end eventually blocking all air flow. With too much humidity from open doors frost accumulates over the entire evaporator evenly but still blocks. You shut the unit down. It thaws out and works OK on restart until frost again builds up. If its not a frosting problem but it just stops making ice then the ice may not be releasing. Check the water supply and change any filters to insure good water flow. A good water supply is required for proper release and harvest of the ice in many ice machines. If the ice doesn't release it takes a shut down and thaw to clear the suspended ice out. Check for these things and write back if you need further assistance and can provide me with more details.
