I have a Mitsubishi 73" DLP TV that is having a very strange problem. Yesterday, when I went to turn the TV on it would not come on using the remote. No big deal, so I just turned it on manually with the TVs on button. Then the strange stuff. While sitting there watching the TV the TV just turned the volumedown by it'self as if I was using the remote, but I was unable to turn it back up. The problem continued as I was looking at the screen, the volume display kept coming up all by itself even though the volume was already at "00". I thought perhaps there was a problem with my remote, so I removed the batteries from the remote but theproblem continued. While this is going on, few if any of the other remote functions work either with the remote or with the manual buttons on the TV itself. After a while, the remote and the TV buttons will start to work again, but then after a while, the TV just turns itself down again. Sometimes just a few notches, somtimes just a few notches at a time, sometimes all at once, but eventually it turns itself down to "00". At that point I cant turn it back up or use any other controls either via the remote or by using the manual buttons. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? I would suspect your control buttons on your front panel on the set have become shorted. specifically the volume buttom down. This is freezing you control functions. like someone is holding the volume down button all the time. or intermitantly. this cuircit board is on front of the set. I have seen this problem a few times at the shop. The common repair is to replace that button assembly cuircit board. I believe the last time it cost the customer around 85 dollars, but like all things depends on the part and the technician that puts it in.

73 inch tv speakers are off how do you turn them on

Go to menu and click on sound on this click to see if speakers are turned on if not click on if that doesnt work try the try the return to factory settings..

73" Mitsubishi DLP. turned on the tv and got only sound, no picture. after a minute it would shut down and red light would pop on the front. replaced bulb and hooked it back up. now it turns on but af

Try cleaning the little fans that keep the bulb cool, the temp sensor will shut it off so not to damage the bulb , the winning sound may be the fan going bad or not working like it should.
