After 4 or 5 yrs EHT ( transformer that supplies voltage to CRT TUBE - TV TUBE ) becomes weak - then 1 of the indication is ....it takes few mins for picture to appear...& in some TVs it will come on & goes off (your case)........so solution is EHT ( also called as flyback transformer ) should be replaced....... {{ few details about EHT---- its size will be around 3inch X 2inch X 2inch ---it will have 2 or 3 knobs to adjust focus , brightness ------ at bottom around 10 pins will be there ------- from EHT 1 thick red colour cable goes to CRT TUBE --------- on EHT its part number will be there }} -------- so if user is a technical person having idea about components ( resistors, transistors, diodes, etc ) , having tools like multimeter ( to check components) , soldering iron, soldering lead, flux, desoldering wig ( for removing components), etc also little experience in servicing field( compulsory) ----------------- then user can remove EHT from main board ---- take to electronic shop ----- buy same type EHT --------- fix to mainboard ( knobs on EHT should be adjusted according to picture --- after switching TV ) ----------iam from bangalore (09986222774, [email protected]) ----- here EHT's price will be around US $ 10 & for my customers (in bangalore) i will take another US $ 12 as sevice charge......i don't have any idea about EHT ' s price & service charge in your place.........since it is very risky job i suggest to contact TV service engineer or sony service centre ------- because they are highly experienced & can fix this component very easily.....

How to capture best picture

That depends on what you're taking a picture of, and on what you want that picture to say to the viewer. The best procedure for taking a portrait won't be the best procedure for taking a landscape, for example. You probably won't want to take a picture of a grandfather the same way you'd take a picture of his granddaughter, either.
That's just the technical side. You also have full control of the artistic side. You decide on the camera position, the time of day, vertical or horizontal orientation, etc. Sometimes you can reposition the subject, sometimes you can't (buildings, trees, and mountains are a little difficult to move). You decide what's in the picture and what's not. You decide whether the picture should be bright or dark.
The camera is just a tool. You're the photographer.

QUESTION:::::::::: I have an M520 that used to take great pictures - now lately the picture is distorted and seems to be all grainy/green. I\'ve tried each of the options, resolutions, brightness controls, etc. Sometimes (not every time) after I make a change to the brightness or resolution or white balance setting the picture goes back to normal - but not everytime. Most of the time it\'s just unusable because it\'s so distorted... almost like it\'s over exposed? I\'ve literally checked every setting available to no avail. I want to say it started happening after doing a firmware upgrade. Anyone else having that problem?

Pauses during printing: After waiting appr. 2 minutes it continues

If you are printing files with large pictures etc, printers sometimes take time in between. It is not a problem. When you print documents, with plain text, you rarely notice this.

I would consider buying another camera because everything is mechanical inside so chances are the parts inside were damaged when the camera fell that could result in damage auto focus, damaged lens, internal motors and such etc.

I have a Mitsubishi CS-35601. Takes long time to get picture.

Perhaps you have a bad connection or an electrolytic capacitor that is going bad. Unless you have experience at soldering etc., it's time for a repairman to look at it.

Camera takes a few low resolution pictures even when the settings are for high res pictures

You should take your camera to service.

Normal cameras are meant to work above 0 deg C (32 deg F), but usually they work even at -15 C (5 F). When you work below the freeze point there may some anomalies, usually LCD turns blue or purple but photos look OK on a computer. Sometimes the camera refuses to take photos or shows bad focus, lens zoom mechanics get stuck etc. And you always experience significantly shorter battery life when in the cold.

It's a good idea to keep the camera in a warm bag and take it out before shooting. You can also keep it under your coat if you're not practicing a sport like skiing (because of body moisture).
