In general. If when copying you get a Full BLACK page printed then the scanner lamp is not lit. As no light is reflected into the image scanner, it interprets this as BLACK information so therefore only black is printed. Look into the ADF while the document is being scanned and I bet you will see no green light at all. A new Contact image sensor should cure it.
Bulbs -usually burn out, all at once, haven't you had that happen
Blue Bulbs- are illegal in most states & you asked about the most light. Won't get that from some aftermarket fancy color gimick
So Dim Lights--that is a problem obviously You will have to have that diagnosed,I won't guess at it. Only visual inspection & testing will establish why their dim

If you are running component video, make sure the blue is plugged in and in the right spot. Component video works like this: the green is a black and white image, the red and blue are cover overlays to make the image display properly. So if everything looks plugged in right, then try plugging in a composite video (Yellow) or S-video cable switching to the appropriate input, and see if the image is still red. If so, go to the set up and set the set to factory defaults, and see if that fixes the color issue, It's possible that the color settings on the TV are messed up, with the S-video plugged in go through the set up menu and see if you can correct the color issue IF THE IMAGE IS STILL RED WITH THE S-VIDEO OR COMPOSITE VIDEO, otherwise the issue is a problem with the component video cable.
