I have a hotpoint wm63, the door hinge broke, which i have replaced, but the nuts to fix the door back on have fallen inside the machine, i guess i eed to get inside to refix the door, but how do i do that??

The screw plate feel down inside the machine where it can't be retrieved easily.

Most manufacturers will be able to supply REPLACEMENT hinges. Just contact your local white goods supplier or Service Centre.
OR you may be able to FABRICATE one yourself depending on your level of expertise or DIY skills.

There should be some adjustment in the door hinges. Check the hinges to make sure the pin that enters the door is not broken. If it is, dril out the pin and replace it with a small bolt, put two nuts on the bolt and use the top nut to adjust the hight of the door.

Just tilt the washer backwards, and you should be able to locate the hinge bracket on the left hand side at the bottom.

Tilt the washer back, and you will be able to retrieve the back plate from the bottom of the washer.
To refit it, you will have remove the front of the door seal from the cabinet front.

I would suggest you check the brushes in the motor, as it sounds like they are worn out.
Replace them if they are less than 3 or 4 mm long
This would give you the symptoms you are describing.

The door hinge block has fallen inside the front of the washer.To retieve it, tilt the washer back, and you should find it at the left hand side.
Remove all screws securing 2 parts of door together, prise apart with a screwdriver or similar, and the door will come apart.
You can now access the hinge and all other partsd inside the door.

Remove the wire clamp that secures the door seal to the front of the washer.
Pull the seal of the front. and double it back inside the washer.
Undo the 2 screws that secure the door hinge to the front of the cabinet, keeping hold of the hinge support plate behind the cabinet front.
Remove the door, and undo all the scews that hold the 2 halves of the door together, then prise apart the the 2 halves..
Replace the door hinge.
Reassemble in reverse order.

remove spring that holds the rubber bellows to front of machine
peel back and fish out plate from inside cavity of machine
then refit plare and reverse process

My neihbors Maytag had a bad "wax motor" on the door. It's the locking mechanism. When it went bad it also damaged the control board which I was able to repair luckily. Total cost was less than $50. I don't charge labor..haha. If it's just the lock I'd say <$200. If the control board is bad I'd say >$500.
