I can not get x Box live to run. My PC is online but teh XBox live wont work. Thanks Bryan

xbox live has changed its protocols, online users will not need to do anything but if you have not been on for a while you will need to update xbox if this dont work log into xbox live on internet and follow the online setting page.

A couple possible solutions:
1. (this may be silly, but) Did you sign up for a Gold Membership? 2. If you were online before, has your membership expired? 3. If you were online before, were you complained about by other players? (enough complaints about you like language use or sportmanship can get your name and membership voided)

Check the router confugurations, re enter them

Does the xbox work when connected directly to the internet (not through the hub)? If so, there may be some kind of conflict related to sharing your internet connection between the PC and xbox, and I'd reccommend getting a router instead of a hub.

Xbox live is down atm most of the online games right now are not working and the voicemail and messaging systems are down. Im sure that the downloading system is also down. They now about it and are working on it. If you would like to track the status go to www.xboxlive.com and search status this will bring you the xbox live status whether it is working atm or not just yet they hope to have it working this week. This issue started on friday or saturday this past week.

assign a static ip address in teh x-box in teh range of ur router and login to teh router inter face and put that static ip address which u assigned for ur x-box in DMZ and reboot teh router and x-box that will work
it might be a port blocking or fire wall action so try this

Do you have your xbox upright? or flat? as I have came
accross this problem myself which is usually cured by laying the xbox flat. Don't know if it's gravity related or not. (This is the dvd drive by the way)

As for xbox live, are you signed up for xbox live gold or silver?

Silver doesn't let you play games online only gold does.
