Generally speaking, an amp protects itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Reset timing belt light 2005 hilux diesel 4x4

Its real simple all you do is before you turn the key on hold the odometer button in and turn the key but don't start the engine and keep holding the button for 10 ten seconds then lift your finger off the button and the number 1 should come up now this number represents 10,000 K's so what you do is keep pushing the button until you reach the desired K's you want you can go up to 20 = 200,000 K's and then you hold the button in for another 10 seconds then let go and turn the key off and turn it back on and it should be gone.

How to restore default settings

Hello :

  1. Remove the battery from the left side of the PSP while it is still on. The unit will power down instantly. Wait ten seconds and then replace the battery.
  2. Press both clear shoulder buttons at the top of the PSP and keep them held while the PSP reboots. A "Recovery" mode will be initiated.
  3. Press down on the control pad to locate a "recovery" folder. This will contain all of your PSP content, including games, music, videos and podcasts that are saved on the device. Highlight this folder and press the "X" button to begin reinstalling your content.

Warnings
  • If you would like to reset your PSP while it is working normally, you can do so by going to the Settings menu and selecting "System Reset." This will get rid of all your content and restore the PSP to factory settings (and subsequently remove all of your content.)

Or try this for hard resetting :

  1. Locate your Power button on your PSP. Push the power button up for 10 seconds.
  2. The PSP will and should shut off. Leave the PSP off for 30 seconds.
  3. Turn your PSP back on by flicking the power button up very quickly. If it doesn't turn on, try pushing the power button forward very quickly again. (sometimes you have to do it 2-3 times)
  4. Your PSP should be working now. If not, then you may have a firmware problem.
Warning:
  • Do not have your PSP plugged into a power supply.
  • If your PSP doesn't turn off after 10 seconds (of power button being help up) then remove your battery and wait 30 seconds, and then replace .

Ps3 turns on for a few seconds bleeps then turns back off and the red light flashes any ideas

Red light on the PlayStation three can mean lots of things it could mean a hardware failure an overheating problem or software problem
if its over heating try moving the ps3 away from cramp areas and try to keep the vent from being covered if its a hard drive problem or it might be corrupted my other recommendation is and that's if you don't want to take it to sony is a hard reset warning doing a hard reset all data will be lost and the ps3 will be returned to factor defaults please not iv warned you if you feel iffy about it don't do it

Also, this is a last resort procedure prior to exchanging/returning to sony.
1. Power Off the PS3 via the power switch in back and power back on w/switch.
2. Hold Power Button on the Front until you hear 3 beeps.
3. Then go through the initial setup and then run a full Format via System > Format. (will take approx 3 1/1 hours). You may need to have our AV cables ready if your using HDMI (in case HDMI isn’t detected after initial reset).
but this all I can think of the might solve your problem
