I have been trying to delete 99 "bad track" songs off of my sansa e250 mp3 player. Also, why does my mp3 player play certain songs and then the next moment it says it is a bad track? The format of the songs have not been changed. What is going on with this player?

Delete songs and Format (Helps with try to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete Labeling Unknown Songs: open Windows Media Player and go to library click on artist. The sub folders will be named by the artists and the unknown songs will be in the sub that say's unknown. Click on unknown then right click on the title bar put a check next to artist and album artist. Right click song under artist or album artist or both and type in the name of the artist etc.... This change in your computers Music folders also then sync with your sansa or media player then load songs to it........
Freezing up while playing songs Check and see if there is a boot file in any of the folders on the player use the Explorer to check Check both MTP and MSC modes and unhook your player Delete songs and Format (Helps with try to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders them selfs then format a couple of times hope this works
Try this solution:
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,etc from MP3 Player
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

Your DB might be corrupt. Folow the delete procedure one more time:
Delete Music Files
1) Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2) Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial
connection.
3) Select the place where you want to delete music files from
4) Highlight and delete the music file/s or folder from My Computer\Sansa
e200\...\MUSIC folder. (You can also select from a variety of music
software programs to transfer/synchronize your files).
If that fails, go ahead and update the firmware - it will delete everything, and allow you to start over from scratch among other things.
The songs are in the wrong format or have expired licenses
There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

If you're checking that its empty in your rhapsody program, you might want to click on My Computer and then click on your Sansa mp3 player and then go into music files and delete everything. If u want to delete everything, including videos and pictures, you can go into your rhapsody account, plug in your mp3 player and right click, scroll down and click on "format" this will hopefully delete everything on your mp3 player...if u don't apply to any of these, well....sorry i don't know how to help.
