Kd-avx11 dvd cds are workin fine but wen i put a dvd in its only playing the sound no video is there something i have to do behind the unit cheers

No, the cars computer doesn't have any effect on an after market head unit.Just a bad radio..

According to Crutchfield.com, which does hands-on research, "The KS-PD100 is not compatible with the iPod touch (1st, 2nd generation) or iPhone/iPhone 3G. This iPod interface will also not charge the iPod nano (4th generation)."
I'm currently a victim to this JVC abandonment too.
I'm looking for a 3rd party adapter that may solve this... Jvc better get on the ball because Ipods are moving forward with newer models...
I'll get back to you if I find a compatible adapter..

Transport is shot. The optics are out of line. Depending on how much you paid for it will determine if you should have it repaired. They just put a new transport in it to the tune of $100 - $125 and about 10 days avg turnaround time. Best of luck, sorry for the bad news!

check to be sure the deck has 12v+ switched to the red wire, 12v+ constant to the yellow wire, and that the black is grounded well.. If all of that is correct, you are probably looking at a unit in need of repair.

The parking brake wire is about a mint green color.

use DVD X Player Professional.

Ground the handbrake wire to the outerpart of the "line out" connector if it's not in use, works a treat

Try resetting the unit by pressing the small, recessed button on the faceplate with the tip of a pen. If this doesn't work, the player may be defective. There is no wiring error (including failure to hook up the parking brake input) that will prevent the unit from playing CDs.

Many of the older DVD and CD players will not play disks recorded on a computer. This has to do mainly with the laser optical response.

There were several manufactures that manufactured their laser unit with a built in filter that would not allow their player to read non pressed CD disks (disks burned with a home computer).

When buring DVD's or CD's, use the slowest possible speed for the burn to have the highest readablity and least data errors possible for the medium.
