Delete them off the device and re sync them all over i have had the same issue with mine i bought from tigerdirect. if these files are mp3 that should do it. if they are downloaded legally they may have a protection on them that only let them transfer to certain devices. if they are mp3. move those music to a diff folder and start from scratch syncing them over

Hope that helps

I cannot find the drivers for my son's new Eclipse 180 series 4 gig mp3 player and I need help. Thank you!

Hi Mommychrista,

Thanks for the question ,

To connect this media player you don't require any additional drivers but you can use the inbuilt windows media player if you are using windows XP, VISTA or Windows 7.

However please note that you need windows media player version 7 or more to get this player connected to it.

What you need to do , is open windows media player and then connect this music player to a working USB port via the USB cable which comes along with this music player.

Then Windows Media player will prompt you with a setup screen asking you to name the MP3 player.

Once you have named your MP3 player, select Finish, and your Windows Media Player will open to the Sync tab.

Drag your music to the sync list (on the right of the screen) from the list on the left.

Once you have selected the music you wish to add to the player, press Sync.

Windows Media player will load the songs on to your MP3 player.

Once all the songs you have added are synced to the unit, and Windows Media Player says that is safe to disconnect your MP3 player, disconnect the device.

If your son has all his music files that he needs in one folder , then he can follow another method of simple copy and paste.

This works as follows :-

Connect the music player to the computer via the USB cable, connect this cable in a working USB slot and the player on the other end.

Then you will find a removable device being detected in your my computer, that removable drive is the memory of your music player in which you need to copy files.

Just right click on that icon of removable drive and select open and then you can copy the folder that you want to copy by right clicking on the folder and selecting copy and then come back to the removable drive , which you have opened and then select paste.

This will copy the complete folder to your music player's memory.

Then you can safely disconnect the music player via the USB cable and then you will find that the files are being shown in the music player , ready to play for you ...:)

Hope that helps ..:) In case you have any queries, feel free to let me know , your feedback would be appreciated.

I cant play songs that i synced into my mp3 player but i can play them on my windows player

try accessing the mp3 player through "My Computer" and creating a folder named "MUSIC" then just drag and drop whatever music you want directly onto the device.

Whenever i press play, my MP3 player doesn;t play ANY song!!!!

I had the same problem, and I was ready to take the player back. I was searching under media help and found the help I needed. This is what you need to do: open your media player. Along the top it will read Now playing, Library, Rip, Burn and then SYNC. Sync is what you need to click on. In the area that you would drag music to for a playlist will now have ' Connect A Device'. The rest should be easy to follow. Good Luck!

How do i download songs to my nextar ipod

www.mp3free4all.com has all the latest songs. open that, open windows media player and download your songs to it. (it'll ask you what to download them to.) then use the sync or copy to cd or device tab, select your song from your media library, drag them into the list, click start sync or start copy and they'll be on your (or your son's) mp3 player.

Cant get songs onto ipod shuffle.(daughter has ipod touch)

Hi there,
When you go into the ipod section on iTunes, click the music tab, make sure 'sync music' is checked and 'selected playlists:' is also, then check the playlist you want to use. Click 'sync' button

If that don't work go back to the summary tab and hit 'restore' and follow the instructions to reset the ipod, resync and all should be fine.

All the best

My iLO MP3 wont download anymore

There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
