Frigidaire PLHS267ZA Side by Side Refrigerator Logo

My Frigidaire leaks water on the freezer side. A puddle appears every day on the floor in the front of the freezer. Inside the freezer on the bottom there is ice buildup. I think a drain must not be working. Do I need to defost the freezer? Is there a drain that needs cleaning? Any suggestions?

SOURCE: Ice buildup at bottom of freezer and small puddle.

Freezer has a drain in the back under the cooling coil. Melt Ice from drain area with a hair dryer, check drain and clear, under bottom in back behind a removable panel you will find the drain exit from the freezer going into the drain pan. This drain line has a loop for air seal, make sure it is cleared.

SOURCE: Water Freezing in bottom of Freezer and dripping out front of freezer door

this could either be a blocked drain from the freezer not allowing defrost water to escape or the defrost heater failing to turn on due to a faulty defrost heater or defrost timer not enabling the water to escape

SOURCE: Freezer leaking water

The drain is plugged just below the coils in the back of the freezer. My fridge had the same problem and I found the hose (which can be accessed from the rear bottom) was plugged with mold. Also, i noticed the hose was connected to the water holding pan and was too close to the bottom and easy to plug. I removed it from the connector and just let it dangle in the holding pan.

SOURCE: Jenn-Air freezer leak

Apparently it is the drain behind the freezer panel on the inside and it is blocked. It needs to be unblocked and cleaned. You remove the food and the rear panel on the inside of the freezer. With a hair dryer (carefully) remove all ice build up and then unblock the drain line going to the pan under the refrigerator. The drain line can be cleaned with bi-carb and hot water (not boiling).

Water is leaking out from the bottom of the freezer

Below the freezer coil is a drain trough. Sounds like it is frozen. Use a hair drier to melt it and poor baking soda with warm water down it.

If you have an ice maker, check for a leak in the water line. If no ice maker, there could be a leak in the pan for the defrost water, or the drain hose is out of position. Also, check to see if the water is actually leaking out from the freezer door. That would indicate a clogged drain. The bottom inside the freezer may have water, or ice on it. If so, suspect the clogged drain.

Water is leaking out of the front and back of frigidaire side fre

Clear the bottom of the freezor so you can get at the drain. then get a turkey baster and fill it with hot water. Insert it in the drain in the bottom and squeeze it cleaning the drain. Several applications will solve the problem, and do not forget the refrigerator side as well.

Good Luck,

Leaking water on the front corner of the freezer side. We have turned off the water to the icemaker and have turned off the icemaker. Still leaking, not fast, but each day I clean up a puddle.

That is from your defrost drain either being clogged with food, or covered with ice. Behind the back wall in the freezer is a drain that empties underneath the fridge. If that drain gets blocked or froze over then the water will dump into the floor of the freezer and out the door gasket. Look in your freezer floor for ice build up. If you don't see anything like that or if you think the water is coming from underneath the fridge, then it is your condensate pan underneath. They crack sometimes.

Freezer leaks since we moved it to fit vinyl flooring in kitchen

Generally there is a water tray at the very bottom that can be slide out and in with a hose attached to it. its for excess drainage.. with the moving of the refrigerator is sounds like maybe the hose can loose and causing youre puddle. I would start there first.

Water accumulating in bottom of freezer and leaking onto floor

Yes the drain is clogged and the water that supouse to go through became ice so it make it worse.Put hot water in the drain hole until it runs through,it'll go to an evaporative pan on top of the compresor to keep it warm and vaporize the water.

Hotpoint csx22bc 21.7 cu. ft. leaking water on freezer side

Look for obstruction at the drain tray for the freezer. Common to have plastic wrap sucked into that area.Or gunk in the drain line. Blow through line to insure the gunk is not an issue.

Water leaking underneath refrigerator/water freezing in bottom of freezer

I'm dealing with the same problem right now with the same refrigerator. The cold water tank (for the front dispenser) has a hole in it that leaks every time someone dispenses water from the front door. You will find the water tank behind the top slide-out drawer in the fridge. The leaked water flows down one of the water tubes through a hole in the bottom of the fridge and onto the floor. I'll bet you have the same problem. Good Luck.
