some games only except dualshock2s and if it is it says it right next to where the cord comes out of the controller or any version of mad cats should work
Do you have the controller that came with the PS2? If so, is it an original Dualshock 2? If it is, then it should work. If it is not, I think that the only thing you can do is buy another controller. There are also others that work. I have a Logitech Cordless Action Controller that works with BF2.

its all about dualshock 2 controllers. if you get these, it will work for all games. see, a dualshock 2 controller is like the head of a pack. it works for everything. you probably have a dualshock or just a ps1 controller. try buying a dualshock 2 controller, and you shouldnt have that problem anymore. proud to be part of your help.

Depend of the game, if the game need a DualShock 2 the ps1 controller is not compatible. Check in the box of the game. "DUALSHOCK 2 Required" If you play a ps1 game in ps2 is 100% compatible.
