Vaio error message

When I try to boot up I get error message no operating system found

This generally indicates a hard drive failure, but occasionally it's just an operating system glitch. Start by doing a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the hard drive and install a fresh operating system. Run diagnostics on the harddrive. if possible reseat the Hard drive, i.e take it out and put it back again. and then try installing the OS. remember you have to boot from the laptop to install OS. Hope you are doing it correctly

first check that your hdd is detecting by your laptop.
i think you have removed mbr master boot record from your hard driver the soution is to create master boot record in your harddrive by using mbr commands.

Try rebooting and hitting the F8 repeatedly as soon as the boot sequence starts. When it comes up to an options screen select repair. From there you can let windows try to repair or select to install to the factory settings.
