Blinking lights???

With the unit plugged in and on, push the reset button for 30 seconds, and while holding the reset button down, pull the power supply plug out of the unit and keep the reset button down another 30 seconds, and THEN (still holding the reset button down) plug the power supply plug back into it and keep the button down for another 30 seconds.

That's a "30/30/30 Reset", and it should boot up fully reset.

Perform a 30/30/30 reset; aka Hard Reset.

Hard Reset (aka 30/30/30 reset): The following procedure will clear out the NVRAM and set dd-wrt back to default values:
  • With the unit powered on, press and hold the reset button on back of unit for 30 seconds
  • Without releasing the reset button, unplug the unit and hold reset for another 30 seconds
  • Plug the unit back in STILL holding the reset button a final 30 seconds

My Kindle 3G seems to have frozen.

Hello,
Amazon recommends the following steps. As I'm sure you have already tried the power switch, try starting from Step #5 to do a hard reset on your Kindle.

Source: Amazon.com

  1. Unplug Kindle from power adapter or computer.
  2. Slide and release the power button. The LED light that surrounds the power button will display green for two seconds.
  3. Shut down Kindle by sliding and holding the power button for five seconds. The LED light will blink three times. Wait for the screen to go blank, then release the power button.
  4. Turn on the Kindle by sliding and releasing the power button.
  5. If Kindle is still not working, you can perform a hard reset by sliding and holding the power button for 15 seconds.
  6. If Kindle is still unresponsive, try charging Kindle before trying to restart the device once again.
  7. Make sure you have the latest software version available installed on your Kindle. The latest version is available here: www.amazon.com/kindlesoftwareupdates
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
KYTechnology

I want to reset my linksys wireless N router, model WRT120N. I have tried holding the rest button for 30 seconds, then unplugging it for 30 seconds then holding it for 30 more seconds to no avail.

Your router should be set to its factory defaults by either pressing and holding the reset button (at the right of the LAN ports) for 5 seconds, or firing up its browser-based utility (defaults: http://192.168.1.1, username left empty, and 'admin' as password) and going to 'Administration > Factory Defaults'.
By the way, if your router's user guide happens to be missing, feel free to download it from this location.
Please, let me know if I can help you any further.

My HTCC s620 (excalibur) is stuck on microsoft mobile logo....sometimes is starts like for 30 mins... what do i do?

You could try to hard reset it. You, most probably, know that a hard reset will restore your device to its factory defaults, thus deleting everything you have installed, as well as your personal data and settings. So, it is advisable to backup your data beforehand.
Anyway, to hard reset your device, if it is operational, go to 'Start > More > Accessories (or Expert) > Clear Storage' and follow the on-screen instructions. Otherwise, if it is stuck and not operational, make sure it is turned off, Then, press and hold both the left and right softkeys, and whilst keeping them pressed, press and hold the power button for less than 3 seconds. Keep holding the softkeys pressed until you get a black screen with further instructions. Release the softkeys and press the green call button to confirm the hard reset procedure.
Hope it works for you.

How do you fix a touch screen that does not respond? I have done a complete reset and still nothing. Thanks.

Have you already performed a clean reset? You might know that it will restore your device to its factory settings, thus deleting everything you have installed, as well as your personal data and settings. So, it is strongly recommended to backup your data beforehand.
Anyway, to perform a clean reset, press and hold the Calendar, Power, and Messaging buttons, and, whilst keeping them pressed, press and hold the reset pin with the stylus pen. When your device restarts, release the buttons and the stylus pen from the reset pin.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers! Carlos

Linksys WRT54GS that is out of warranty. Power light keeps blinking on and off and unable to connect.

Blinking power is a sign that something is already wrong with the router, that can be a software of a hardware failure already, to fix this one lets reset the router by pressing the reset button of the router for 30 seconds while power is ON and then after that unplug the power for 10 seconds and check if the power will be solid....

How to do a hard reset on the router?

A Hard Reset (also called 30/30/30) makes your router go back to a Factory Default Settings.
It's very simple to do, but doesn't works in all cases.
With your router ON, press the Reset button for 30 seconds. Unplug the power cable from the unit WITHOUT releasing the Reset button and wait 30 more seconds. Then plug in the power again BUT KEEP HOLDING the Reset button for another 30 seconds.
It does not work in all cases, but maybe can help.
Sorry for my english.

D-Link DI-624 wireless router is not working after firmware upgrade try

Try to unplug the router and hold in reset button for 30 seconds see if that works, you probably did that already, But if you can get your computer to respond you should be able to open software Bios. and do your firmware update from there. If not I believe a hard reset is with the router plugged in and holding reset button for 30 seconds, I don't know I sure hope that resets it for you. Thanks take care
