Hi

Overfilling is caused when either the water inlet valve or water level switch is bad. When any of these parts goes bad it won't shut off the water and so cause overfilling. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Fl code is on

Hello there and welcome to FIXYA
The FL error code means:
Flood Condition:FL flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an overfill condition instead of a suds lack condition in order for FL to be displayed

With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time-out. The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch resets or power is discontinued to the unit.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

This problem i see on these are the water pumps getting clogged with lint or other things, causing the pump not to pump all of the water out at times.

Neighbor reports It's overfilling Water on floor.

Could be a faulty water level switch ,or blocked pressure chamber hose leading to switch, or a sticking water inlet valve, question of elmination I'm afraid.

Am getting an FL error code and even though I have emptied the washer and unplugged it several times it will not reset. Anyone else ever have this problem?

“FL” flashes if any overfill condition occurs. This condition occurs when excessive water in
the tub causes the overfill switch to trip. The control must realize that the trip was due to an
overfill condition instead of a suds lock condition in order for “FL” to be displayed.
With an overfill condition, the beeper repeats a warning every 10 seconds with no time out.
The pump is cycled in drain mode for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off until the overfill switch
resets or power is discontinued to the unit.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
Find the small clear hose that goes to the control and blow it out to get the sediment out so that the control can know when the right amount of water is in there. Resesure and pump out standing water before retry.

How do you reset the overfill switch on the kenmore Elite calypso machine? It shows FL and we cut the power. There is water inside

There is a check "valve" in the drain assembly that seems to sometimes cause problems with the FL error code. You can remove this piece, and might avoid changing the pump.

E4 fault code

Hi, when a dishwasher goes into overfill mode it usually means that the bottom tray has water in it that operates a float connected to a microswitch. Open the bottom panel and soak up all water then check to make sure the float is down completely.then restart dishwasher. Why it has overfilled is another problem. It could be a faulty pressure switch, pressure switch hose may have a hole in it, water valve may be faulty. Too much soap or wrong soap can cause too many suds and hence overfill. Also if rinse aid is spilt when filling. Or seals leaking. etc.
