Asus P5OIJ web cam views upside down. the web cam on skype works great, but the person iam communicating with views me upside down. how can i fix this.

Your not able to rotate the cam on an Asus. If the webcam is upside down, the driver installed is incorrect. You can uninstall the cam-driver by entering the device manager, then search for E-driver on your laptop. You will find the appropriate driver from there. If it still turns out to be upside down; enter device manager, right click the webcam, enter properties, pick details and lock for hardware id. copy the id, google it, and pick the Asus-related hit. Asus use the same cams in several series, so you will get the appropriate driver. Just be sure that you pick the driver that's from an Asus-site.

Hi if you go to www.manycam.com and download the free software, it has the option to flip, rotate 180 degrees etc and also works with skype gmail etc, hope this helps please rate,, if further help needed i'll be happy to help

How i solve this

I'm not sure what application you are using the webcam in but if it happens to be skype, perhaps this will help:

In skype options; go to video settings. Click the webcam settings button, this will open a "capture properties" window. in this window, test checking the "mirror horizontal" check box.

Is's ok to have only one cam.

You can see the video from your oposite if they have a cam.
Or if only you have a cam the other party should be able to see you.

I have installed software, web Cam works fine.
Down loaded SKYPE ,but when speaking with another person ,I could see them and hear them OK, but they were unable to see me although sound communication was fine. Is this a web cam setting problem or Skype problem.
