We are having problems with the printer. Somtimes it prints faded on the right hand side. Its not the toner, it was checked already. Are there any other reasons why it might print faded only on one side???
Check the green levers at the top of the fuser unit that have envelope icons on them. They reduce pressure on the fuser assembly for thick stock. It is possible that one side is up the other down, causing uneven pressure across a page.

I have a Magicolor 2400w and had the same problem... I hope I'm not to late because I almost put mine in the trash.
How I fixed the problem was I adjusted the solenoid behind the fan on the right side. I made a video and posted is on YouTube. Search YouTube for Magicolor 2400w paper size error. or follow the link.
This printer has a laser cover that you can slide out and clean. What you are describing sounds like there is spilled toner on the lens which causes a constant mark down the page.
From my memory, if you open the front cover, on the right hand side of the printer there is a little window that allows you to slide out the optic cover of the laser. This will have some toner on it so if you just clean it with off with a a soft cloth then I am sure that the problem will be solved.
HI, I think you would be wise not to clean the drum, other than removing the toner dust. If you have problems with print quality, firstly check each cartridge in turn and see if the rubber toner roller is smoothly covered in the appropriate colour toner. If all is OK here, then empty the dust container. The dust container is in the back side of the the transfer band (drum), on the right hand side you will find an area where there is tape applied. Remove the tape to reveal the hole into the dust collector. Take care as there is usually a great deal of old toner in there, so it is a good idea to have a container at hand when you empty it. hen you have emptied it, you must of course reseal the hole. I have found the best sealer for this is the self adhesive alluminium tape which one can buy in any hardware shop.
Hopefully therafter all wil be OK.
Have you tried cleaning the leans at the bottom of the printer? Open the cover, pull out the drum. Under it is a long, narrow piece of glass. If it gets dusty or toner accumulates on it, it will cause streaks in the printing. If this is dirty, take a clean, soft cloth and very gently wipe it off.
Have you tried taking the toner cartridge out of the printer and shaking it up a bit? Just make sure you do it outside or over a trash can. Shake it side to side.
Sometimes the toner bunches up and you can get some more life out of it by shaking it up.
Hi, you should check the position of paper sensor flag, called "actuator" (part number 4139 3505 02). On the picture - part 15. The "paper jam" error message means also - "toner cartidge missing", "paper out" or "photoconductor missing"
inside the toner unit, there is a stirring device to broadcast toner over full width of drum. I will guess this is the culprit, the stirring device is not turning. Try this test: remove the toner cartridge and shake it rapidly back and forth. Then try a print, any change?
