I need to reset or find my origional password. Please help. Thanks

If you have changed the default password, you need to reset the router to the factory settings to get in with the default user and password (user admin and password as password, or if that doesn't work try 1234 - these are the default password for NetGear routers). Note that you will lose the ISP settings and wireless settings when you reset the router.

Password

On most model Netgear wireless routers there is a reset button on the back of the router which reset the router back to the default factory settings. The location of this button is printed on the label.

Power off the router, press and hold the reset button (you need a sharp pen), power on the router, wait several seconds and release the reset button. You can now configure the wireless router again using the default admin login.
