Hi. I have an Acer 1642ZWLMI that had Windows XP installed.
I upgraded to Windows 7, but I am not able to find suitable drivers to Wireless Lan and Graphics. Where do I find these drivers if they exist?

If Acer do not have them to download online, then Win7 is not supported and you will have to return to XP. Trying Vista drivers, if available, may work as they are very similar.

yes you can but it will need todo alot of updats,and iam not sure about this but i think windows xp does not do all the updates anymore,but i could be wrong,i have a pc tower thats ten years old and i put windows xp on that just the other day and all is well.
you should have got a disc with it.if not you might try backup and restore programe,you will find this in your control panel.
or you can try your upgrade disc but you might find your windows xp number may not run with the upgrade.
That sort of comes with a OS upgrade, in upgrades from XP to Win 7, I'm supprised that's the only thing that is a issue. I upgraded a old gateway (2005) from XP to Win 7 Pro N 64bit. and had some hardware issues to deal with. Consider yourself lucky. You can get use to it or search endlessly for a fix. Try the Acer forums, you may run across the issue.
your down grade is the problem
win xp and win 7 are no longer supported by Microsoft so any blips in the loading process are not fixed on line
Microsoft are pushing hard for everybody to use win 10 and company statements are saying that win 8 and later version will also not be supported in a few years time
it is possible that in downloading the driver from the manufacturer site (best idea) it is possible that you missed the bit ( suitable for win os win 7 ,8 vista, 10 ) that win xp was not on the list
Download the LAN drivers from the Acer WEB site. Makesure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require thatmatches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link toget to the Acer support: - http://www.acersupport.com/drivers_download.aspx
check whether the drivers are installed?. they must not be there thats y the buttons are not working so try installing the drivers. u can get the drivers from acer official site. when u upgrade or install a new windows, it wont get all the drivers from the windows cd, and have to be installed from a cd or from online.
Have you had a look on the firewall website for a suitable firewall system that compliments windows 7? I had to download a new one myself when I went from Windows XP to Windows Vista.
Sometimes changing systems means you should also change your firewall, then you'll have the most up-to-date software going. Plus it won't slow your computer down like it doesn't sometimes.
