use the driver cd which came along with your laptop and reinstall the audio driver from it. After that reinstall the real player as well if needed.

After that everything should work fine.

If you need to reset it to factory values, turn it off, turn it back on but keep pressed the F8 key until you see the BIOS configuration.

Select default values, save changes and exit. It will restart with the factory values.

Hi, To change the bootable device you need to go to bios setting. Depending on your computer make and model the way to go to bios could be different though generally you can go to bios by continuously tapping on F1 or F2 or F9 or F10 or F11 etc The moment you press the power button and you see flashing brand scree like dell, hp etc. start tapping on F1 or F2 or F9 or F10 or F11 only one key at a time. The best option is to install any version of windows is to use Wintobootic search and download it on a computer. The only suggestion I can offer is install an earlier version of Skype to see if that will make the difference, also! go online to Acer and contact customer support and the technical department to see if they can shed some light on the problem.

What did you do last? It sounds like there is a driver conflict. I would try to go to system restore. When you turn it on, pres continuously the F4 key to open recovery manager. Go to system restore from there. Choose a recent restore point.

Sometimes you have to tell it what to boot from. It may say something at the bottom like f12 for boot options when turning it on. It could be a different function key. There is no standard for this.

I had the same problems and found that the new driver i had upgraded to for my NVidia card was the culprit. I rolled it back and my problem was fixed. Hope this helps.

You Wi-Fi card can be disable for many reasons. First make sure that it is on. If it is the go into device manager under network adapters and make sure that it has NO yellow triangle. If it does have a yellow triangle or a red exclamation make right click on it and click update drivers.

Try these 3 methods..
1. As the machine boots, hit F2 to enter the BIOS. Enable 'Disk-to-Disk Recovery', save settings, then exit.
As the machine re-boots, hit Alt & F10 and follow the prompts.

This will also restore the machine to its factory defaults.

Are you sure you have'nt got some Malware bogging you down, check in the task manager to see if there is something running the CPU at or about 100%, there is something called vmhost.32 which will do this sort of thing and i usually treat it with a dose of Malwarebytes, its free.

When you get the error for missing trayapp.Download full feature software and drivers from hp.com. After extracting the downloaded file. Go to your my document's folder. Click tools, go to folder options and make sure to enable "show hidden folders". On the missing trayapp error message, click browse, go to my computer, go to disk drive C:, go to user and document settings, open the folder that has your login name, look for application data > local > temp > open a folder named 7z345 or any folder that has 7z for a file name.. open setup > open trayapp > then click trayapp.msi and click open.. a long process but that should solve your missing trayapp problem.. if you need help, i suggest you call hp

Hi Buddy, Try a different Power adapter first most probably that will resolve the issue, if that does not works try to reseat the RAM. if this does not works as well then this is a CMOS battery or Heat sink issue.

If Your TV and Laptop have HDMI Port then you just need a HDMI Cable. But if you dont have HDMI port. then you need two cables one from video and one for audio.
