BOSCH HBL3450UC Single Oven weak/slow pre-heat

I have a Kitchen Aid convection wall oven. It takes 6 - 7 minutes to preheat to 325 degrees. You probably have a bad element. There are 2 elements.

Oven is taking to long to heat

look for the temperature sensor inside the oven cavity in the upper left or top center of the upper oven cavity, its will be a silver or copper colored rod about 1/4" by 2" to 6" long this rod senses the oven temp and cycles the heat to the oven

I dont no how to pre heat the oven

To pre-heat an oven is to simply turn it on to the desired temperature and wait 5 to 10 minutes. If you have a timer then set the timer for the desired time you want to pre-heat then begin baking as usual.

There is no magic to pre-heating an oven and everyone that bakes has a different opinion.

Have a viking professional oven and it takes too

A weak oven ignitor will cause this problem. even though it eventually lights the temp has dropped considerably so you don't get consistent temp. turn the oven on and listen for the burner to light. should light within about 2 minutes. if not replace oven ignitor(s)

Oven takes 20 minutes to fully heat on bake - Kenmore oven plt095-2

if its a gas model most of the time you will have a weak oven ignitor. if an electric, check to see if the bake element gets hot ,some ovens will bake with upper and lower elements so if only the upper works it will take much longer to pre-heat.good luck!
