the low voltage transformer on the ERC control is vibrating from not doing anything, when you put a load on this transformer it will quit, only fix is to possibly remove ERC and jam a piece of NON-Flammable/NON-electrical metal to keep it from vibrating and try this first,if this doesn't help, replace the noisy board with this transformer on it

Most of the kitchen appliances with electronic control have cool down cycle, this takes place after you turn the unit off, cooling fans for controls will continue to run to cool down the control to a safe temperature (around 160 to 200F, depending on the design).
It is very important not to disconnect the unit from power source during cool down cycle to prevent damage on electronic components or controls due to over heating.

My Viking oven will not lite, the igniter glows,
Hi,
That sounds like you have too high of gas pressure which keeps the oven gas valve from opening...turning on the burners lowers the gas pressure enough to allow the gas valve to open. this is a saftey feature on many gas valves.
To stop that you will need to install a gas pressure regulator which will hold back the gas pressure so the valve can open.
Here is a tip that I wrote about regulators and them failing on the low side, but it will give you and idea what I am talking about and what you need to install in the line to your range.

The stem/shaft that holds the oven knob seems to
first pull the knob off the shaft and check to see if its broken where the shaft is supposed to lock-in if so u jus need a new knob. if not you have to pull the panel off the stove and replace the shaft this shouldnt be too difficult either way.

A weak oven ignitor will cause this problem. even though it eventually lights the temp has dropped considerably so you don't get consistent temp. turn the oven on and listen for the burner to light. should light within about 2 minutes. if not replace oven ignitor(s)
Viking oven VESO107CSS, tried to start cleaning mode, it would not start. Now the oven will not heat and the cleaning light is flashing
If your Viking oven VESO107CSS will not heat and the cleaning light is flashing, it's possible that the oven control board is experiencing a fault or malfunction. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Turn off the power to the oven: Before attempting any repairs or troubleshooting, make sure the power to the oven is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Check the door lock: If the oven door is not properly locked, the cleaning cycle will not start. Check to make sure the door is securely locked.
- Check the oven control board: The control board may be experiencing a fault or malfunction. Try resetting the control board by turning off the power to the oven for a few minutes, and then turning it back on. If this does not work, the control board may need to be replaced.
- Check the thermal fuse: The thermal fuse is a safety device that protects the oven from overheating. If the fuse is blown, the oven will not heat. Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the fuse, and replace it if necessary.
- Check the heating element: If the heating element is damaged or burnt out, the oven will not heat. Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the element, and replace it if necessary.
If none of these steps solve the issue, it's recommended to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance.
