The "IP address" is your DEFAULT GATEWAY so you can try 192.168.1.1 or you have to check it by going to START>RUN and type CMD in the box and then Enter (brings you to the COMMAND PROMPT type IPCONFIG and enter you will see your DEFAULT GATEWAY.
For the user name and password (you didnt mention the model #) so for all US ROBOTICS the User names are (unless you changed it) try "root" "Any" "support" "Admin" and Passwords are (unless you changed it) "12345" " Admin" "support" "password". If you did change it and cant remember you can always press the reset button on the back and restore it to the "Out-Of-The-Box" settings.
If this was helpful, please indicate so, if not -comment back so we can dig further to resolve this.
hi yes it is very easy to do, just use a thin tool like a paper-clip or something similar, on the back of the router there is a small recess, push the tool in the reset hole for 30 seconds this will reset the router to its factory default settings, just enter router by usual way and redo all the required settings...hope this helps
Considering the frequency you have to reboot the router to get it to work may indicate a glitch with the WAN gateway.
I recommend fully resetting the router and setting the wireless network up again.
You should be able to reset the router using a pin and sticking it in the pin hole on the back of the router near the power source.
Try to change the wireless channel of your router to 11. This kind of problem is normally caused by wireless interference,. You can do it on the router's admin page
1.TRY siting in a place wth less people ... actually wth my USR9108 i get disconnected even if some one is standing infrront of the modem so stay in a open place wth less people. 2.RESET your modem 3 tymes and configure ur modem by the settings given from the Telecom company. 3.Check ur modem antennae ... bcoz its modem is very FRAGILE... it sometimes have an internal wire break ,,,, TRY installing ur BRothers antannae on ur modem nd den use it....
Have you tried changing the channel? This might help icrease your signal aslo avoid putting it near wall and if possible put somewhere higher (5-10 ft above the ground)
It appears you may have confused the world because of your IP addressing choices. Do you know what a subnet mask is? It determines which machines share the same network with other machines. Routers by design are the connection between different subnets, Most routers default to 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask which means both of your routers are in the same subnet as they are 192.168.2.? meaning you have two separate networks sharing the same same subnet address when they should be unique. Try making the wireless router 192.168.3.3 or 192.168.3.1. This puts devices in your wireless network on the 192.168.3 subnet and the devices in the ADSL subnet in the 192.168.2 subnet which includes the WAN half of the wireless router. I believe this will correct your network issues. In this case if hardcoded the gateway for the wireless router would be 192.168.2.1 also known as the the adsl modem
im tring to connect to Internet with my laptop,, i can see the connection on my laptop when i tring to access its not working
