Did you change your scan resoulution? The quality of your scans will determine how slow it will pass through. another thing to check is weather it is scanning both sides, another option in your scanner properties.

Hi, I scan documents (recto and recto-verso) using the InformatikScan software and the scanner Canon DR-9080C. When I scan for ex. 30 pages, after 10 pages the scanning process slows down in...

The scanner creates a Raster Image and if it is grey or color, the size is big. After a few images are scanned, the 'buffer' inside the scanner is full. It may take more time to process the scanned image by the scanner if it is 24 bit color. The image is sent to the computer Harddisk and if the disk is full or if it had not been defragged for a long time, the sectors may not be contiguous for speedy writing, This will slow up the scanning. Ensure the disk has large space. 'Scan ahead' slows down scanning speed. (Without scan ahead, the next page is fed only after processing, whereas when selected, just after the previous page is scanned, the scanner start the next one)

Scanners speed is influenced by the quality chosen in document productions. Selecting impressionful color saturation requires time to produce results. Use the menu buttons on the scanner to select least saturated color pixels.

When scanning with the native scanning software, the scanner runs very fast but file size is huge. When I use Adobe 9 to scan, my files size is much smaller but the scanner pauses after each page. I need...

I would expect the problem with the Capture perfect fike size is down to the compression chosen for the output file. Ideally black and white inahes should be Group 4 TIFFs and Colour or Greyscale should be JPEG. Alternatively you may want to check the scanner is set to 'scan ahead' in the twain settings in Acrobat. If it is set to anything else the scanner will slow down to allow the PC to process every image. With 'Scan Ahead' turned on the scanners memeory buffer the PC speed a little giving you faster scanning.

My canon dr-3080 cii is running at a low speed. it was at its maximum and suddenly slowed down. rebooted cpu and switched scanner on /off and chcked settings with no results. please help

Scanner will continue to scan at the same Speed! The problem is in the computer. Check if you have enough disk space, do a 'defrag' on your harddisk, create extra space by deleting unwanted files. IF your processor is slow and if you are scanning in color or converting to PDF while scanning, it may slow down the output.

I have 6 identical new PC's running Windows XP SP3 with Kodak i1210 scanners. 4 of them are running fine and scanning fine. The two giving me an issue are scanning fine as well but they are scanning...

Please check if the disk where you are saving has enough space. Defrag the drive for better results. If you are connecting the scanners trough an USB cable, try replacing them. Also check if the file format is same. If you have chosen to scan BMP or TIFF uncompressed or Color, the file size may be too big. I presume the other two PCs are free of virus.

IT WILL SCAN FAST AFTER 10 PAGES IT WILL RUN SLOW

Your disk must be full or you need to do a 'defrag' on the volume where you are storing the data. Initially it is stored in the buffer and when the disk writing is slow, scanning speed is affected. Clean the disk for faster scanning.

Scanner is scanning slow

likely your resolution settings are very high, anything scanned at over 100dpi will take considerably longer. if it were a hardware issue then the scanned document would not be readable as the speed of the rollers must be sync'd with the scanning speed for a successful scan

Scanning speed slows down after approx 100 pages. Is it possible to talk to a 1220 expert on phone to describe multipule problems, today?

Scanner 'slows' down depending upon various conditions. For color images and large detailed files, there may be some slowing down. The most common cause is insufficent disk space. Check where you are directing the computer to write the scanned images. Have sufficient space and do a 'defrag' done.

Scanning speed problem

The scanners rated speed is for black and white all error correction turned off. As soon as you start doing 24bit colour or grayscale or up the dpi the scanner will start scanning more slowly. I personally get abpout 60ppm with my error correction on black and white 200dpi. (300 dpi scans just as fast although 400dpi will slow down).
